Why do we hate Sheika though?

yes i saw butler on bravo punching that guy after he lost.

In fairness to Butler, he's paid his dues, if Tyson can get relicensed for biting someone's ear off, Butler deserves to be able to fight again, It was a moment of madness, and I think he's learned a very painful lesson, though not as painful as Richard Grant who he sucker punched.

What's the problem with Sheika then, something I don't know about?

Sheika's a horrible bastard. Trash talks before fights (even with Joe Calzaghe) - and never shakes hands afterwards.
The latter tells me he means what he says.

Two very good matchups.

I saw the Augustus - Burton fight. Augustus put on a Boxing lesson.

I've changed my view re Augustus - Hatton. I reckon old Emanuel could give Hatton some real problems.

Me too. However, I reckon Hatton would outwork him, Augustus spends a lot of time clowing and showboating, all the time during which Hatton would be throwing shots and scoring.

Augustus must be the only fighter in history who stated he would fail the drugs test (marijuana) before the results came through. That was funny.

When Augustus has had adequate preparation time his workrate is pretty phenomenal also.

I reckon Hatton would have a tough time landing clean shots on this guy too.

Sheika's a very sullen person, very aggressive. Surrounded by an equally sullen mob of hangers-on.

He's not that bad though. Copped a lot of flak after September 11 because he's an Arab.

Just needs to cheer up, I guess.

I disliked him for the fact he was revealed as some sort of defining fight for Calzaghe - the guy couldn't beat Tony Booth.

Contentious it may have been but still. Tony Booth.

Sheika took part in two wars with Scott Pemberton and the second was one of my favourite fights ever, he is shot though and can no longer take a decent punch, Butler is not much better when the gloves are on either. However i think he will beat Sheika, gon now tell me the fight has happened and who won... :P

Well as it turns out Sheika won a dull fight on points.

I had to drag this thread back up to find out if anyone saw that amazing performance from Eddie Sanchez against JC Candelo the other night?

The guy comes in officially at 7 hours notice having lost 8 pounds the day before the fight, and then proceeds to dish out 12 rounds of punishment en route to a superb win over a top ten fighter. Now that's what you call grabbing an oppurtunity!

Yeah, good fight - Its a shame Five decided to cut out round 4 and cut out the Gomez fight completely.

Thats the end for Candelo as a contendor now, he is a poor man's Oba Carr (always the bridesmaid).

Yeah i think Candelo is shot, he never quite made the top level, the fight with Ouma appears to have taken a lot out of him. He will now just become an upper class yardstick if he continues fighting IMP

Yeah, its a shame had a soft spot for Candelo and I was hoping that he would have taken Ouma - Phillips and Candelo are my two faves Light Middle, so I would have like to have seen them fight for the title.

Slowly getting annoyed at Channel Fives' delivery of FNF and TNF - they have the rights to the whole show so why butcher it for old x games events. ESPN have a studio that we haven't even seen yet.

Well it doesn't matter much now anyway as in 2 weeks time FNF's will be off the air. A real sad state of affairs.
