Carl Frampton Aims To Get World Title at Super Featherweight

WBA featherweight champion Carl Frampton (23-0, 14 KOs) is hoping to eventually move up in weight to pursue a third divisional title.
Frampton moved up to featherweight last year and captured the WBA belt with a close, hard-fought twelve round decision over Leo Santa Cruz at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Currently in Las Vegas, Frampton is training with Shane McGuigan for his rematch with Santa Cruz - which is scheduled to take place at the MGM Grand on January 28.
But the career goal for Frampton is one more divisional belt.
“I want to be a three-weight world champion, That is the goal. It wasn’t necessarily at the start of my career, but when you reach targets you set new goals and Steve Collins is the only other Irishman to hold world titles in different divisions, so I want to stand alone.”
