How much ppv would Joshua - Wilder do?

well promoted, solid undercard, in vegas (i dont care london or new york, vegas is where the big $$$$ is in boxing, end)
I think it would do around 1 million. I would be shocked if it only do 700k or less. I mean joshua/wilder is easy to sell, do a 3 episode series, you show how these tall athletic monsters have been koing EVERYBODY and you feed of the the fact that josh won against wlad, i mean has to be 1 mill +

It would do below 1 million. Good thing with Joshua, he's on Showtime already. His last fight averaged around 300,000 viewers, but then again, it was during around 6pm. I think the fight would be equally bigger in the UK, possible sell out stadium of around 50,000 on Sky Box Office

Wilder seems to be declining on Showtime.
vs. Szpilka he averaged just 500,000 viewers on Showtime with a peak of 623,000 viewers.
vs. Duhaupas he averaged 2.179 million viewers
vs. Stiverne averaged 1.24 million viewers with a peak of 1.34 million viewers on Showtime.
vs. Molina averaged of 678,000 viewers..
On Fox
vs. Arreola averaged 1.45 million viewers on PBC., maybe peaked at 1.8 million

Probably be the biggest ever PPV in the UK.

With the U.S. and U.K. combined it'd do around 800K I think, and at least 500K of that would from the U.K.
I'm not sure it's even PPV worthy over here.

They could do a mil plus in both UK and US if built correctly. They should get AJ to do a couple of voluntary's against solid opponents in the U.S and Wilder to do one (against an opponent atleast ranked in top 25) on a bill with AJ in the UK. Then do it June 2018.

If the fight is in the UK where they can maximize their profits, it's not gonna be PPV in the US with the time difference. AFAIK US prime time fights may go PPV in the UK, but you're losing 9/10 buyers having it at 4am

Doubtful, barely anyone tunes in to see these guys on "free" Showtime. They're posting ratings worse than an average FNF fight 5 years ago. In the UK, quite possibly but that's an afternoon show in the US which barely ever bring a 1m license fee, nevermind PPV

Around 400k.
Casuals in the states don't know who Joshua is yet. That will change after the Klitschko fight.

No it won't be.
It cannot possibly beat the Hatton-Mayweather PPV figure of 1.2m.
Froch-Groves II only achieved 900K.
Lewis-Tyson achieved 750K.
Golovkin-Brook did 500K.
Joshua-Whyte did 400K.
Joshua-Brazeale did 300K.

Those numbers do not include the households watching the free preview weekend or households that watched the simulcast on the Showtime youtube channel that aired on a dozen websites.
It was also aired at the same time as an NFL playoff game.

you can't say it cannot possibly beat a record, personally I think if AJ does an absolute number Klit his profile will sky rocket, add to that that Wilder is an undefeated HW KO machine too, with a personality, the promo will send demand though the roof, it could definitely top Hatton Floyd.

I guess I embellished when I used the phrase "cannot possibly", but the likelihood is almost certainly remote.
Even though Matchroom may eventually quote figures surpassing Hatton-Mayweather, Sky will remain silent on the issue (since they never disclose numbers) and the UK's equivalent of Nielsen will eventually contradict Eddie Hearn's claims.
Whilst Anthony Joshua is a popular figure in the UK, his figures are generally less than a third of the numbers achieved by Ricky Hatton.
And Wladimir Klitschko's bouts have sometimes struggled to be televised in the UK, with Sky, Box-Nation and ESPN refusing to cover one or two of his fights, such as the Pulev contest.
I've researched my facts, so I do possess an educated opinion on the matter.
For the record, I'd like to be eventually proven wrong about my thoughts on the matter, as it would mean that the sport of boxing in the UK is almost as popular now than its late '80's early '90's heyday, but I sincerely doubt it, because the numbers and the statistical trends don't stack up.

PPVs gotta draw in the casual fan, else you end up with Kovalev Ward. Boxing fans may stay up till 4am but they're streaming it for free

It would do mad big numbers in the UK without a doubt, out here Joshua is still a bit unknown and Wilder isn't much bigger either.
I think they need to come up with a long term plan to maximize profits which is certainly within reach.
Wilder needs to up the competition and get some kind of signature win in prime time in an entertaining fight, Joshua is kicking it off with Klitschko so he's doing his part no complaints at all about him.
As it stands Wilder has to start getting out there and putting himself about a bit more, do a light night talk show or something and let people know who you are.
Joshua won't have any problems getting attention in the UK but I also think he needs to show his face out here, perhaps attend the next Wilder fight and get in the ring for an interview and start stirring the sh_t to create an interest in the two of them.
Wilder could also do with attending the Joshua v Klitschko fight and do exactly the same, we know all the words between them are going to be a load of old bollocks but if the job is to get the ball rolling and generate some interest then I can't think of a better starting point.

Sky knew that, that's why it wasn't on box office.
Same reason why Frampton-Santa Cruz 2 isn't on Box Office.. or Degale-Jack

Wilder is relatively unknown here as far as grabbing the mainstream audience is concerned.
superfights aren't built up anymore these days
its a shame

They take time to build up and if everyone's on board there's no reason it cant be a success.
