Former IBF cruiserweight champion Glenn McCrory has just tied the knot with American beauty Miranda Ives.
Audley Harrison, Jim Watt and Billy Hardy were among 200 guests in attendance at the wedding in Ashington, a beautiful seaside location north of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
Glenn and Miranda, who have bought a house in the area, are currently enjoying the first few days of their honeymoon on a trip to Ireland, and plan to move on to Venice and Paris.
They met in New York, where Glenn was working a 'world' title fight for Sky-TV.
Glenn has two children from his first marriage to Amanda. Their 14-year marriage ended in 1999.

I like McCrory too. he has got a certain charm, you were right. I heard he was the best cruiser in the world at 1 stage. I've never even seen him fight.

Slightly off subject but I gotta say,I've always preferred Darkie and McCrory commentary team rather than Darkie & Watt because Watt always whines on & on ,saying one thing then another backtracking!
Congrats to big Glen!

Interesting point. Ian and Jim don't have the same chemistry as Ian and Glenn; tend to talk at the same time on occasion. But there's no doubt they are the best at what they do (remember Neilly and Mckenzie!), so you can't blame Sky for pairing them.

McCrory was one of the first boxers I met, ringside at McKenzie-Mcauley at Wembley, many moons ago. He was a really nice bloke, signed my programme and spoke for a little while. Good man.

He had prilimary auditions for James Bond when Brosnan took over, Pierce is not getting his contract renewed so now Glenn is older he should go for it again.
I bet he's enjoying his honeymoon.
On the Darke/Watt/McCory debate - I prefer it as it is, Jim is the best British co-commentator around and its great to see Sky utilise him more frequently. I like Smith/McCory combination aswell.
Although I do think the Friday Night Fights team on ESPN are the current kings of commentary.

Would make a funny change, you never know perhaps he can alter his accent.

It would be absolutely superb and a welcome change, I would pay to see Glenn or Jimmy Nail in the role. I stopped watching James Bond films many years ago.

My mate met a very pissed McCroroy in Vegas after the Lewis Holyfield rematch and he was a top fella, apparently.
He lost his crown weight drained on a body shot to a better-the-advertised Jeff Lampkin.

I can't believe nobody used photoshop to create a version of this picute with REAL_DEAL standing in front, brandishing his Iron fist.
Is comedy dead?

I've heard Les Battersby is odds on to get the role
