Thought this might interest a few people.

For some a promotional deal is the best way to go about making a living from boxing, for others they have the luxury of going 'alone'. The Eubank Jnr story will pan out, and whether it is positive or negative I expect many within the game to learn from it.

I agree with some of it, a boxer must put his best interests first and David Haye is a brilliant example of how a top boxer can control his career and maximize earnings.

However, blasting Hearn is a joke. For an example of what Eddie can do, Audley need look no further than AJ and what Hearn has done for Joshua's wallet.

Yeah I can't help but think audley may have won a world title and a hell of a lot of money more if he had Hearn backing him and guiding him through easy fights to someone like valuev.

Jesus. I like Audley and thought he was treated a little unfairly by fans but he didn't do himself any favours.

Audley - you got wrecked because you weren't solid enough. No one else's fault. And the BBC contract was wholly undeserved.

There are 2 possibilities: 1. Audley is totally punch drunk. 2. Audley smokes too much weed

Yeah he did his bit to dispel racial stereotypes by getting involved in gangs and being sentenced to 3 years for robbery and assault.

Fair play, he turned things around - with help from the various "institutions".

He was given a free education to get a degree, was flown all round the world expenses paid as an amateur, got lottery funding and was then given millions by the BBC - without any reference to race/colour or anything else.

Well said,they all turn it to racism when its not the case its a case him not being good enough to make it as world champ or trying to provoke a riot in an arena on national television and blackening the boxing name (no racism intended). I thought that interview was quite good till the racism came into it.

I had a skim through that earlier, but got bored by his waffle regarding the BBC. Didn't even notice the race issue.

Liked Audley when he first debuted, but this is just hot air from him. His obsession with appearing on one specific channel seemed weird. He once claimed that his career and life had gone downhill the day the BBC dropped his contract. It's not even like it was his last televised fight. So I don't understand why his fights being televised on ITV or on Sky Sports was such a big deal to him. Just obsessed with doing thing his own way, I suppose.

For someone so big he had a heart the size if a peanut but wants to blame race issues and other promotors for him not reaching his goals,if i had a career like his i would be pleased.

British champ,european champ,prizefighter winner (£32,000 for knocking 3 ppl out),world title challenger on ppv(millions for not even throwing a punch in 3 rounds),he has made his money and had a successful career for damn right average,i bet there are fighters out ther(white fighters) that havent had the oppertunities he has had plus i bet there are fighters out there who havent earned as much as he did or been given a medal by the queen.

For someone who hasnt had the rub of the green because of the racism in this country he has done very well.

It wasnt dead average mick but look at sprott or williams and they didnt get the cash or the chances poor audrey did. The credit i will give audley is this,he went over to sydney and done this country proud paving the way for the likes of khan,degale ,price,jefferies ,campbell,joshua,evans ,ogogo,nicola adams,joyce and buatsi,all these would never of had the lottery funding they have had if audley never won that gold,the thing is with him is he is 6foot5 and a southpaw, i really thought he should of been the guy to dethrone the klitschko's

It was clear he had zero belief when he was at the press conference with Haye. Haye shut him right up.

One thing I didn't understand at the time and still don't, is how ANYBODY thought that Harrison was going to win. I'm not talking about people with immense boxing knowledge, I mean anybody at all.

You didn't even need to have seen them fight, you just needed to have read a sports section in the paper at some point in the previous decade. Every fight he had, straight from his debut, the papers were saying Audley was rubbish, he couldn't fight, he needed to step up. Every. Single. Fight. All boxing magazines, all newspapers, all internet reports. Everybody said it. Every fight.

The BBC pundits were saying it when he was on the BBC, the ITV pundits were saying it when he was on ITV, the Sky Sports pundits said it when he was on Sky Sports.

Every time I mentioned I liked boxing to people, people were saying to me; "So, when is Audley going to step up?" It was legitimately the first thing they asked me.

Then suddenly, out of nowhere, he was fighting David Haye and every media outlet hyped it as a big fight. People who'd been telling me best part of ten years how rubbish Audley was were saying they were going to watch the fight, because it was such a decent looking fight.

I can only put it down to some kind of mass delusion or mental illness. I have no other explanation for people who thought Audley would win. And that's coming from somebody who used to defend him.

Yeah he was due to fight Skelton that night at the London Arena and the card had completely fallen apart (no change there Frank). Danny Williams stepped in at the last minute so he's talking bollocks there.
