Those rankings are utterly ridiculous: Pulev above Klitchko; Haye, Takam, Glazkov, Price above Povetkin.

Returning to the subject of the thread, it would be financially stupid to have Joshua vs Povetkin outside of UK, and it would be much harder for Ryabinsky to win a purse bid.

Joshua is massive in the UK, but Hearn isn't a billionaire. When it comes down to money you'd have to think that what Ryanbinsky wants, Ryanbinsky gets.

Anthony Joshua is believed to have earned around $2.4m for his bout against Brazeale and $3.6m for the Whyte fight, with a total net worth standing at around $10m (source: Telegraph). However, for the originally-scheduled Klitschko bout, AJ would have earned $18.2m. I don’t know if that sum has been revised for the new April date.

I don’t think that any of those amounts are beyond the reach of a wealthy man like Andrey Ryabinskiy.

That being said, we do know that Eddie Hearn affiliated boxers, like Tony Bellew and James DeGale, flatly-refuse to travel to Russia because of the current scandal surrounding Russian sport. So my guess is that AJ couldn’t be paid enough to compete in Russia.

However, would there be Visa issues preventing the Brit from stepping foot on Russian soil, due to his drug offences? I know that it took him a couple of years to sort out Visa entry to the US, which he only confirmed last month.

I also do not understand why IBF. It looks that WBO is much easier way to get Championship fight in Moscow.

Parker is much cheaper than Joshua...

The ranking is according to the money paid, every place have price tag..And the place in ranking mean nothing...you can become voluntary from 15th place.

This was exactly the scenario I hoped for last year, Wilder ducking him, Joshua taking over exactly that fight and win.

I think you're getting mixed up, it was the Melodonium which was below the threshold, but the Ostarine test was not below threshold. They were just confused as to why it was there in the first place. When they stop fannying around and get the B sample done and sorted, we can put this whole palava behind us. He either gets his 2 year ban, or he gets acquitted.

Well he got off scot-free for the Melodonium, while his fellow country person Maria Sharapova received a 2 year ban. Not entirely sure why.

Because Maria, who actually lived in the US for many years, continued to take this medicine when it wasn't allowed any more. Saying she didn't realise someone changed the rules around this substance, she just continued to do what she has done for well over a decade. Imagine aspirins were all of a sudden made illegal, a very similar medicine btw, then half America would be banned as well, especially if people don't realise. Povetkin actually did realise, and stopped taking it immedietly, but they still managed to trace about 70 nanogram of it left in his body, which could be expected naturally. Somehow this was the perfect excuse for Wilder to duck him all over again and since Povetkin is the most tested boxer in the entire world last year it was very well known that he took Meldonium when it used to be allowed. So that's why Wilder could easely say he wanted to fight in Russia, since he knew ages beforehand that he had this ducking excuse in the very end.

You're not a biochemist. Even the guys who study this stuff said it's not understood as a drug. They don't know the exact date it leaves your system. Lots of drugs exist on a spectrum when it goes with tests. You will always have outliers, and in this case, Povetkin is an outlier.
