Who has won the most world titles in Boxing history? I know that Manny has the record for winning world titles in 8 different weight divisions but I'm just talking world titles period. I'm wondering why that is not an important statistic when discussing greatness. Most pundits point to how many division titles instead. In my opinion, I think a better judgement for greatness is comparing how many world title belts each boxer has tied around their waists. I know there are more world titles now and it's not fair to compare against old timers but I think it's a great barometer for judging the modern boxers.

Anytime a boxer rips a belt off another fighter, it's special in my opinion. I don't care if the fighter never leaves the welterweight division, winning titles, period, should have more weight than it does.
