Parcel Force got ripped a new one by Warren.

I suppose it's nothing new to him as he was often ripped a new one during his career!

i know Frank gets a lot of stick (mostly deserved) I have to say that what he is saying seems pretty legit in regards to Audley Harrison who wasted one of the best opportunities a boxer has had by having a contract to terrestrial TV from the beginning of his career and he couldn't back up his own claims.

I'm not a massive fan of him, but fair play to Frank there.

Fair play to Warren ...he's not prepared to allow Audley to talk absolute manure unchallenged and blatantly reinvent his own past.

The weird, weird thing about all of this is that back in the day Warren and Audley could and should have been very good for each other.

With the right matchmaking, right camps, some good public relations and a truly professional training regime focussed on getting Audley drilled for the pro ranks - all well within Warren's sphere of competence - Audley could have gone way further.

This little exchange - years and years after the proverbial horse has bolted - does suggest that both guys still have their regrets.
An opportunity was missed and it hurts even now?

I always wish Audley had done a Honeyghan.

Lloyd disliked Duff and Duff did not much like Lloyd either - it was purely professional and necessary to work together - but it worked!

Not sure that's the case, looking back Audley was clearly not right for the pro game at the highest level, for all of FW's skills I'm not sure how he could have changed that lack of heart he had whenever against a decent opponent.

By going on his own with the BBC deal he made a hell of a lot more money early on in his career than he would have done by just being an attraction on a FW undercard. Audley's own PR was amazing, look at how he managed to repeatedly convince the public to believe in him, there were people who genuinely thought he'd beat Haye!!!

I like Audley as a person and not so much Fwank, but he's been owned there

I agree with this fully. Audley, despite his numerous gaffes and public-alienating statements, made a lot of money on limited talent. He was never tough enough for the pro game, and even got flattened and hammered like Jesus in the ABAs. He got a great break at the Olympics (as I remember even fat 5 ft 9 alcoholic RIP sinan Samil Sam beat him in the Europeans or worlds..) But that year, luckily for Audley, the super heavies were a poor bunch - and there hadn't been a UK gold medalist in boxing for years.

He is possibly the most fortunate boxer of all time. He got ironed out many times pro and amateur including london finals. Got beaten by mediocre fighters and STILL made multiple millions (despite facing 'institutionally racist' UK fans who were dying for him to get kod by a white supremacist fighter like Sprott, Danny Williams, David Haye /sarcasm)

I wish I was discriminated as much as he was....

Harrison looked petrified in the ring whenever he was in with good opposition.

Very easy to put the boot in when a man's down, as is Aud, W*rren showing himself to be a spiteful t***t, as ever.

Some people may remember this. Audley was going to fight some kid I know, stepdad. He was a B&B owner who had 1 fight 4 years previous which was a loss. This was going to be Audley's 6th or 7th fight on the BBC. It actually got rejected by the board it was that poor.

That's the kind of fighter Audley was.
