New Heavyweight signing by allegedly and only 19.
Was on the GB squad and apparently was breaking a lot of Joshua's track and gym records.
He was in third place in the GB squad, but with Joe Joyce likely to turnover and 4 years to overtake Frazer Clarke. Maybe he didn't fancy potentially waiting 4-8 years to get a shot and the Olympics then potentially getting stiffed by the judges?
An excellent junior and good athlete, not a great deal of footage about but looks like a good addition to the British heavyweight scene!

Apparently the allegedly man paid a six figure signing fee which is extraordinary for an uknown 19 yr old. He must have serious potential
Can't find much footage online... most seems to be 2 yrs old when he was only 17.

It's nice to see Fwank on the up and up. I've sometimes been a critic but you have to hand it to the guy, he keeps fighting and it looks like he has come up trumps after seeming to be on the way out. He hasn't had a good heavyweight prospect for a while, if Debois is half decent he could go a long way.

Does anyone know what's happening with the Light Heavy from the GB team, Buatsi? He was decent to watch and had some power but I've heard little since ~ Aug last year when they said he was uncertain.

Bhuatsi was at the darts world championships with Eddie.
So putting 2 & 2 together perhaps he is signing with the PDC?

Only saw him once when he boxed in the GB vs the home nations tournament final. Was very impressed with his jab if I remember correctly.

As far as I'm concerned, Dubois might have good chances to unify titles, in the future: he looks better than Joshua: more precocious, excellent amateur record for a youth; he's got an awkward style, but often, awkward boxers can get pretty dangerous. Joshua has clearly better composure but I don't see it as a necessary advantage hands down.
Maybe we'll have, soon or late, a similar event to
Joshua vs Klitschko, where the part of the older champion will be played by the former controversial Olympic gold medallist.
Dubois is clearly too unripe to face big names now, but turning pro at 20-years-old is a clear sign that Dubois is not wasting his time, and he looks like a serious lad.

Let’s see how his wiskers hold up under pressure. It’s the make or break for a HW.

We don't know enough about Dubois thus far. He's still plodding and doesn't yet have ring generalship. When/if he fights a decent opponent who'll fight back, we'll get a better idea of the lad. Else, unless something surprising occurs, he's years away.

He's young so I give him the benefit of the doubt. There's not been too much progress with him.

Agree with this totally, especially for a HW with his attributes of strength, and likely to want to grind people down and power (but not snappy Tyson-esq power, more just heavy hands)

I was impressed how he dismantled Little the bodyshot he dropped him with was superb.
But then he seemed devoid of ideas and barely threw to the body against Johnson.
Kid needs seasoning. If they take their time, he can add to the arsenal and develop better defense before he gets exposed.

Respectfully, not everyone can be Tyson or Floyd Jr.... Dubois turned pro not even two years ago, and has been winning minor titles, but titles nevertheless. Joshua, at 26 years old, was still messing with BBBofC, Commonwealth and International titles, his 2012 Olympic gold was a fraud, and he's like
The real deal of the heavyweight scene, now... the old glorious days are gone: no need to bother Dempsey and Tunney, imagine what Lennox Lewis could do to Joshua.
I wouldn't underestimate Dubois: he's pretty fast, hits hard, got excellent composure, and throws overhand rights like popcorn.
The guy is fit for his age, if not else.

You know, I had a similar feeling for Nathan Cleverly, and Cleverly didn't exactly become the new Calzaghe, but is not even exactly a boxer with a shitty record, also considering that he retired early: Clev could throw accurate body shots, clever lead-rights, showed precociousness... it was clear that he didn't have the style and elegance of Calzaghe, and his defense wasn't exactly impenetrable, but he compensated with a solid chin, as it was obviously clear that he had the makings. Something got lost in the process...
...This Dubois doesn't look like a hypejob, anyway.

Didn't look much of a puncher versus Kevin Johnson, and not much of a boxer either (in the classic sense).

To state the obvious we will never know untill he steps up.
He has done great so far and he needs to serve his apprentiship

He'll be fine with FW. I think he'll keep this one in the bank to mature properly.
Razvan a good next fight.

No one is saying Dubois is a hype-job. He's just really young and needs further development before we know what kind of talent he really is. Patience.

As I've already said, he has quite an awkward style... reminds me a bit of Vitali Klitschko... and he also looks that kind of dangerous.
If you have watched some training footage of Dubois, I'm confident you would get my point.
