I was reading an old article in which Montreal black heavyweight Jack Ward is mentioned. The writer says that Ward's manager claimed he had knocked out Kid Norfolk in one round and had also beaten Big Bill Tate. Anyone ever see anything that would corroborate this statement?

Its possible they meant Battling Norfolk. People today and in that era often confused the two in print.
