This is a very interesting article, which details GBP's and the PBC's business financials, which clearly illustrates Canelo's importance to De La Hoya's promotional company:

"More financials surface about Golden Boy, Haymon’s Premier Boxing Champions"

"At the moment, financially-speaking, Canelo is Golden Boy."

Please read Golden Boy’s Public Relations Director's emails, which GBP's lawyers are trying to exclude from the lawsuit! They're awful! :o

How is the 107% calculated? It's an odd number.

Others on the GBP roster were negative. Without Canelo GBP loses money

Quite offensive and very unprofessional.

Oscar would not be in the financial mess he is in now.
If he wasn't too busy a few years back doing cocaine and cross dressing.
It's his own sick twisted fault

Thus the motive to rig Canelo's career so he never loses - just like the Floyd blueprint - fix the guy to win win win over handpicked and paid off patsies - Oscar is totally dependent on Canelo never losing again -

This is 100% true.

Just like Haymons career in boxing was TOTALLY dependent on Floyd never losing - If Floyd would have fought and lost to margarito it's certain that both Floyd and Haymon would have faded away - welcome to modern boxing where counterfeit artificial manufactured stars have to be protected and rigged - Canelo and Wilder are the two most glaringly obvious examples right now -

I would not be the least bit surprised if Oscar was paid off to go soft on Floyd - so as to transfer Oscar's star power to Floyd which of course Golden Boy profited from after Oscar lost to Floyd - this is how the world of boxing operates - it's a business in disguise as $port but not a $port the way it used to be -

Boxing is a shady place and hard to defend at times.

And yea it is more business like nowadays which is aggravating, but I wouldlnt say this is the case

Probably because it wasn't effective to begin with and Floyd started drilling him with counter rights. Oscar was never a smart fighter.

Oscar stopped jabbing because he had burnt out his shoulder, which by that late career stage only lasted about 7-8 rounds before it became a liability. Not because of some insane theory of a fixed fight so Floyd wins. I've heard some major league bullshit theories before but that's a gem.

Bingo. Oscar's success against Floyd is one of the most exaggerated things I've seen. It comes exclusively from Floyd haters from what I can tell. I thought Mayweather beat Oscar as clearly as he beat Cotto, and you never hear any controversy whatsoever about the Cotto fight.

Floyd clearly won the last 6 rounds.

Oscar knew the script was to let floyd win - why floyd ducked the big $$$ rematch should arouse suspicions - was Oscar prescripted to win the rematch? perhaps -

What really stunk badly about the Cotto fight is how Floyd ducked Cotto for years when Cotto was with Arum - then when Cotto becomes a free agent THEN floyd decides to fight the guy - which reeks of Haymon buying off Cotto (which Haymon could not do with Arum) - most people don't remember how blatantly Floyd ducked Cotto back in 2008 when both were unbeaten welter champs - Ellerbe whining about Cotto's PPV #s and Floyd whining about his name not being big enough - which contradicts most all of Floyd's other handpicks in the last eight years of his career - Yes it did look like Cotto threw the fight for the payday at the downside of his career - "Al haymon can manipulate (fix) anything - what al haymon wants al haymon gets" - malignaggi

Floyd tried to fight cotto at 140. Miguel wasn't ready yet. Amazing how many people have nothing better to do than jump on the internet and make shit up.
