iRobot reminds me of Valuev

I watched the first 3 rounds of Valuev and I tell you what he's not half as bad as I expected. He's got the fundamentals and he's pretty loose actually for one so big.

Bango understandably looked a little bit freaked out, I don't suppose he's been in with many 7"2 guys before.

i´ve been watching the last fights since he´s under contract at Sauerland. he hasn´t convinced me. he boxes in slow motion. but ithink he is not easy to box.

Maybe it was just me but I didn't think Valuev was that slow at all. He seemed quite sharp and accurate. His co-ordination is no worse than many 6"7 fighters.

Although I did only watch the first 3 rounds as I said.

I thought Valuev got hit with some good punches.

Wouldn't fancy his chances against any of the top 10 heavies

The punch that stopped it wasn't even a punch lol... using his arm as a club to the back of the head

Really enjoyed the Rudy Markussen V Danilo Hausler clash for the European Super middle weight title.

I thought Rudy boxed superbly for most of the way, although did waste quite a few shots too....doesn't make them count the way Germans do. That said, he still outworked Hausler and showed his punch power smashing him to floor 3 times.

My heart was in my mouth at the end because I didn't know the result and was expecting another German stick-up , but justice prevailled and Rudy got the verdict.

Denmark currently have three very useful world class boxers at super middle in Markussen, Mikkel Kessler and Mad Larsen.

Instead of Calzaghe piddling about with Pemberton or Salem, he should be squaring off with Larsen.

I agree with THEBUTCH, Mads Larsen and Rudy Markussen represent genuine tests for Calzaghe as does Anthony Mundine and Danny Green so to say he has no challenges left at SM is a lie, THERE IS NO EXCUSES FOR A VEIT REMATCH. Anyway Haussler is crap, he works hard and has plenty of heart but is seriously limited, he only gets these constant chances because his promoters put there hands in there pockets and buy them for him. He is nothing better than a British level campaigner. He won a scandalous first decision after Glenn Catley boxed his noggin off and dropped him en-route, he got beaten black and blue by Mads Larsen and now Markussen. He should box off with Markus Beyer and then we can hopefully see the back of one or the other

Shame Calzaghe Green / Mundaine wont be made, not as long as joe hold that blasted WBU belt anyhow.
Just think of some fo the fights the british public should have had since 2002, i'll bet if these three were american or based there some would've been made by now.

watched that I-Robot the other day, got a decent dvd of it, it was better than I expected. Got King Arthur or chronicles of riddick (or thunderbirds ) to watch tonight, anyone seen either of them? any good?

how can the boxing commentator steve holdsworth be so critical of some of the fighters on eurosport. Have you read his own pro record
