He is very far from it, to be fair, there aren't many options of "Mayweather" substitutes, boxers like him (or to be like him) are almost nonexistent nowadays.

I agree that Davis convinced me that he is pretty good and has nice boxing future/career, but he needs to polish his technique a bit and take more C and B class fighters (like Pedraza) before taking A class boxers (like Corrales, Sosa, Vargas and Lomachenko).

He made a big statement with his win last night. He's a very good fighter who looks to have a bright future. I'd hold off on the comparisons to ATG's, but then again I'm logical like that.

I want to see Gervanto vs Vasyl, but I doubt both sides will want the risk.

Only time will tell if he's the next PBF. But he sure looked good last night...

I don't think Vasyl would have issues taking that fight. However, this is a fight Davis would most likely lose. I love the idea of the fight but I think the Davis camp understands the consequences and will probably steer clear of Lima.

Maybe the youngest IBF champion. Youngest champion just because there's so many belts, but he isn't even the youngest champion at 130lb if Mayweather was younger when he won the title there.

He's not the youngest active fighter in the sport today either. That would be Kosei Tanaka.

Davis is clearly an impressive talent, but his skills dont come remotely near Floyd's.

At this point I think Loma would Gary Russell him. He probably beats up the likes of Vargas and Sosa.

Yep. All it takes to be the next Mayweather is beating Pedraza. I mean, I'll admit, Davis is a hell of a prospect. But this is potentially an overreaction.

Davis looked Fantastic ! But he is a different fighter than Floyd. More exciting actually.

I'd like to see Davis matched against Lomachenko eventually.
