He knows it but having his name on your record in 40 years time sounds better than it does nowControversial wrote:Nice video, sounds quite punch drunk doesn't he. The shame is he beat the shell of the real Tyson, deep down he must know that.
Saying that the same could be said about joe calzaghe's victory over rjj. No way in hell the calzaghe that beat robin reid would if even laid a glove on the rjj of that timethepocketrocket wrote:People thought, despite Tyson getting old, that McBride would be executed. it was all about levels. he fought his heart out and deserves credit. I am sure Kev doesn't think he beat Tyson circa Pinklon Thomas
Exactly...and Hopkins. JCC got his fear of flying solved when they began to age. Lucky timing, and in no way contrived!thechump wrote:Saying that the same could be said about joe calzaghe's victory over rjj. In all seriousness, the only difference is that no-one thought JC would lose!

I don't think so, Berbick beat Ali 36 years ago, that meant nothing as well.thechump wrote:He knows it but having his name on your record in 40 years time sounds better than it does nowControversial wrote:Nice video, sounds quite punch drunk doesn't he. Tyson even now is still talked about along with Ali only the greats get this much attention, years after they are retired.thechump wrote:But tyson isnt/wasnt ali was heControversial wrote:I don't think so, Berbick beat Ali 36 years ago, that meant nothing as well.thechump wrote: He knows it but having his name on your record in 40 years time sounds better than it does now

Yes i know, pre jail tyson was around in a period which was similar to the klitschkos the only 2 differences is 1) tyson was fast and knocked them out with style 2) he is americanRexob wrote:Tyson even now is still talked about along with Ali only the greats get this much attention, years after they are retired.thechump wrote:But tyson isnt/wasnt ali was heControversial wrote:

Tyson will always be spoken about, he is still the youngest HW in history to win the world title, he became undisputed champ and was an interesting character. Plus he was exciting to watch, unlike many HWs.thechump wrote:Yes i know, pre jail tyson was around in a period which was similar to the klitschkos the only 2 differences is 1) tyson was fast and knocked them out with style 2) he is americanRexob wrote:Tyson even now is still talked about along with Ali only the greats get this much attention, years after they are retired.thechump wrote: But tyson isnt/wasnt ali was he
Yes he was,he had the fear factor and people would flock in their droves to come see him fight. It is sad that the likes of williams and mcbride have a W over him. He was his own worst enemy, the money he had he should of just been able to retire after holyfield but was stupid with money and not having the right ppl around him cost him his fortune. Mcbride didnt beat him he beat himself,he quit cause he didnt want it anymore,he was fighting for the money rather than the likes of hopkins jones or holyfield who carried on fighting because they love the sport and just didnt wanna give it upControversial wrote:Tyson will always be spoken about, he is still the youngest HW in history to win the world title, he became undisputed champ and was an interesting character.
