nobody who wents down from a knock down, who clinches and wrestles excessivly, barely winning one clear rounds wins a fight.

what i mean with winning a clear round, is when you watch the rd and know as soon as the rd is finished even during the rd that boxer a was better than boxer b. ward was good in some rounds, but every round he was good, kovalev was also good and there is arguably not a single round where i had the feeling, oh that was a ward rd for sure. all i see was a knock down, a hurt ward, clear winning rds from kovalev, than lots of clinching and lots of even rounds, where both didnt dominate each other and had similar punch output.

No need to make up an ulterior scoring method. Kovalev won because he was the better boxer. Ward won because he was the home favorite.

Ward clearly won the 7th, Kovalev clearly won the 1st, 2nd and 10th - the other eight rounds were close and could conceivably go either way. A fight with that many close rounds in it is a close fight, no matter what way you spin it.

Also, if Fighter A wins 5 rounds decisively, while Fighter B wins 7 close rounds, then according to the rules of boxing, provided there were no knockdowns or completely one-sided rounds, Fighter B should win the fight, although he will surely look the more beaten up at the end of the night.

Are we still doing this?

If youre still unaware/ignoring of the fact kovalev initiated most of the clinches because he cant fight on the inside then i cant trust you to score fights.
