Who Ashley?
He fought Mittoo on the undercard of the Audley show at Ally Pally..
Looked better against Brophy the month before, but we all know what a spoiler Mittoo can be!

Yes i think i have heard someone talking about that fight, wasn't Mittoo unfortunate not to get the decision? Or am i thinking about another fight

No not that time Ashley totally outboxed him in my opinion.
What I said in my report on BritishBoxing.net
"Ashley Theophane the heavily tattooed Londoner looked good value for his win over perennial loser Arv Mittoo, even though Mittoo had a ten pound weight advantage, no boxer ever looks that impressive against Mittoo, but Theophane dominated from start to finish."

I know a few who've fought Theophane. Do you box for his old club?

How's about Ashley 'The Pain' Theophane?

Good luck to him. After a nuffin to speak of amateur career I have seen Ashley change dramatically since turning pro. I've seen every fight so far and can already see impovements in his performance. His attitude is commendable, everything is goin into achieving his ambition and your right Topman, he certainly doesn't skimp on his training regime.

He used to box for the All-Stars ABC on the Harrow Road. Go and see Mr Akay, who runs the gym. He's a genial fella, and he'll give you more info about Ashley

He's OK....wasn't too impressed when I saw him fight recently at the York Hall.
I think Anthony Small stopped him in the Amateurs I can't be sure though.
I think he will do well to win the Southern Area.
Too mnay tattoos also

is he the geezer who came on here telling us to go to his website?

Posted: 12 Aug 2004, 07:26

Why all the excitement?
Limited amatuer career, and in his first 6 fights they have mainly gone the distance against crap opponents.
I don't think we're in any danger of a Floyd Mayweather Jnr here...
Don't get me wrong, good luck to him, I'm just suprised he's drawing much attention and has such a professional website up and running.

MY NEXT FIGHT IS THE END OF SEPTEMBER. NOT SURE WHAT SHOW YET. JUST GOT BACK IN THE GYM. SIMILAR OPPONENTS UNTIL THE END OF THE YEAR. 2005 I HAVE GARY REID, DAVID KEHOE,ANTHONY MAYNARD, ALAN BOSWORTH, FRANCIS BARRETT, SAMMY SMITH AND MARK HASLAM ON MY LIST TO FIGHT, SO MY TEAM WILL GET ME THE FIGHTS I WANT FOR NEXT YEAR. THE END OF NEXT YEAR I WOULD LOVE TO FIGHT BEAVIS OR DAWS.

No reason why a match with Lenny Daws couldn't be made, I'd pay to see that one. Mind you I'd pay to see Lenny fight anytime 8)

Me too, I know Theophane boxed Lee Beavis in the Divs last year. I don't know if he ever fought Lenny Daws...
ASHLEY THEOPHANE, did you box Lenny as an amateur?

ASHLEY THEOPHANE, did you box Lenny as an amateur?[/quote]

I NEVER GOT TO BOX DAWS BUT I ALWAYS WANTED TO THATS WHY IN THE THE PRO RANKS IT WOULD BE A GOOD FIGHT. THE BEAVIS FIGHT WAS ONE OF MY BEST, BUT I GOT DRAWN INTO HIS FIGHT.
ANY OF US FIGHT EACH OTHER AT THE END OF NEXT YEAR WHEN WE HAVE SETTLED INTO THE PRO RANKS WOULD BE EXPLOSIVE.
I KNOW THE OPPONENTS I HAVE FOUGHT ARE STANDARD OPPOSITION BUT 99% OF PRO'S START LIKE THIS. BUT BY MY 10TH FIGHT I WILL DO A BIG STEP UP.
I LOOK UP TO FIGHTERS (HOPKINS,HOYA,MAYWEATHER,WHITTAKER,HAGLER)WHO NEVER DUCK NO ONE SO THATS HOW I WANT TO GO ABOUT MY BUSINESS.
I CAN'T WAIT TILL NEXT YEAR.

Ashley - can you tell me about your fight with Anthony Small? Was it a points or stoppage loss?
