Thurman/Garcia In Jeopardy

They are talking about banning Angel from the next press conference and actually ringside for his racial rants! If that happens Danny says the fight is
OFF! This isn't looking good considering Dibella has publically spoke out against Angel on his social media. This fight is in jeopardy.

After the last few years where he scraped the bottom of the barrel if h calls this fight off because "they're being mean to his Daddy" he'll never live it down.

Is there a video where those words are coming from Danny's mouth, not from some youtube junkie?

The remedy to bad speech is more speech.
Leave Angel alone and let us see this good, even fight.

Why not ban him from all pressers, official media stuff, etc and let him keep his place in the corner? We don't have enough good, top end 50/50 fights like this as it is however his behaviour was unacceptable

There's one more press conference prior to the fight and only the two fighters are going to be present for that one. Angel Garcia is going to be fined most likely but they will never bar a chief second from the corner for a fight of this magnitude. Should he be? YES. I think he should absolutely be banned from the sport for at least 2 years. Not for hijacking the press conference like that and ruining it for everyone including the promoters but for using the N word multiple times referring to Thurman. He should lose his license and have to pay considerably to get it back. He should have to take some other measures as well i.e....sensitivity training etc.
The worst repercussion is that Boxing really needs this fight to be a success for Haymon's PBC and Angel Garcia single handedly sealed it's fate because the presser was supposed to build up demand for a fight that hasn't built as much buzz as most expected. Boxing is in trouble again in more ways than one. All because some racist idiot living his life through his Son. Boxing doesn't need him. The WORLD doesn't need anyone like that in it.

Let’s try and give your opinion some context:
• Mike Tyson was only banned for 15 months for biting off a chunk of Evander Holyfield’s ear.
• Antonio Margarito was banned for one year for his load gloves scandal.
• Lucas Browne was banned for six months for using PED’s.
• Dereck Chisora wasn’t banned at all for throwing a table at Dillian Whyte.
• Manny Pacquiao called for the death of homosexuals multiple times and even tweeted his demands, claiming they’re worse than animals and that he couldn’t care less who he offended… and he didn’t receive a ban!
And you genuinely believe that Angel Garcia should receive a far more severe punishment than those guys?
You’re an absolute lunatic!

It's the PC World we live in. People have to pretend they're THAT offended even when they're not.

The punishment should be allowing Thurman to beat Angel up after he beats his son.

The times have changed E1. I'm not sure what part of the globe that you call home but in America racism is a death sentence in many ways. It not only disintegrates careers in seconds but everyone and everything closely associated with it. In this scenario, you have the PBC's mission to get boxing back on primetime network TV and back into our living rooms. This is the PBC's marquee fight. They spent two years building both guys up for this. And here we have a trainer, not a fighter, a trainer...killing the buzz for this fight with something as nasty as repeatedly calling the opposing fighter the N word.
You comparing Angel Garcia with Tyson and Pacquaio in just ridiculous. I'm sorry to fill you in on this but the rules are different between the top boxers in the world and some skanky raciest trainer who only has one boxer worth a damn. No one buys tickets to see Angel Garcia. No one has subscribed to HBO or SHO for Angel Garcia. But even still, his one man Mel Gibson stand up routine during the press conference hurt the interest in this fight and most of all, hurt the sport.
Boxing can not afford to let Angel Garcia off on this one. Boxing's already considered barbaric and prehistorically managed so allowing participants to use the N word with impunity would just be the beginning of the end. I honestly hope that they cancel the fight and Garcia's never get another fight again...and i'm a DSG fan but the apple can't fall too far from the tree.

I can't find any credible source of Danny Garcia saying the fight will be off is his father is not allowed to attend the press conference.
Angel Garcia is a pathetic racist POS, and I consider his son Danny the same for condoning and encouraging it. He said there was nothing wrong with what his father said, and claimed Trump has said worse. What an idiot.

Dude, nobody aside from the people in attendance and us boxing nerds even know about it. How is that hurting the buzz? We're all still going to watch. The majority of the sports fans in America don't know who the fighters are much less that one has a racist POS dad.

Boxing is in horrible shape right now and it's clinging to life. Do you realize that? HBO is on it's way out of the boxing business. PBC is going to end up being a disaster. SHO has had 2 shows in like 5 months. Now one of the main promoters carrying the sport is back on the sauce and probably waking up in stockings and high heels again. The one fight that was being built for primetime and save PBC is marred by racism.
I'm not worried about Boxing dissolving all together. I'm just worried that every major network is going to drop it and we'll get to see one fight a year. That's what's on the line with this BS.

I'd say it's pretty obvious at this point that Angel has some mental issues. I don't blame Danny. I'm sure he is sitting there hoping his dad will just STFU. But, it's his dad. He's learned patience and poise because of his father, I'm sure. With that said, it will be interesting to see how his dad handles a loss.
