I recently watched the documentary 'Assault in the Ring' about journeyman Luis Resto and his trainer Panama Lewis, who in 1983 removed padding from the gloves used by Resto when fighting Billy Collins Jr. The aftermath of the fight turned out to be pretty tragic. If you haven't already, I would definitely recommend giving it a watch.
I'd like to know of any other good documentaries you have watched?

Watched this..Panama Lewis is the lowest of the Low,young Resto would have looked upon him like a father figure and probably knew what was happening to his gloves but went along with it as it was probably common practice when Panama Lewis was invoved

Yeah its a cracking documentary and tragic, Panama Lewis might just be the worst individual involved in the boxing ever and that's saying something

If you enjoyed Assault in the Ring these are also quite gritty in content.
Ring of Fire – The Emile Griffin Story
Legendary Nights – The Tale of Chavez Taylor (best of the series IMO)
The Good Son (Ray Mancini)
