He fought the best. You can start by watching him tonight.

Ive seen most of Garcia's fights and I cant remember ever being unimpressed by him, he always shows his class and looks to close the show, a very good fighter and if not for the inactivity i'd imagine he'd be somewhere near the top 5 p4p

Up until 2013, he was starting to breach the p4p top 10, and given his age, he was threatening to be a top 5 p4p fighter given typical improvement over time. But due to contract disputes and inactivity, he probably isn't that guy anymore.

He's got a nice blend of power, skill, and slugging ability, though he can be hit. A bit like GGG.....

One of the biggest wastes of talent in boxing. Due to greed he basically stalled his career. Not sure he will ever recover from the damage he's inflicted on himself.

Ive never watched mikey fight except for the first round of his fight tonight. One word comes to mind: smooth operator.

Garcia is the best fighter at 135 currently.

Sorry Dejan - Mikey Garcia ain't Ricky Burns.

Garcia vs Barthelemy, Easter and Verdejo are good fights. Garcia beats them all.

That was as perfect a performance as I have seen in awhile.

Oddsmakers showed Zlat way too much respect in this fight. -210
were larceny odds on Garcia. These are different levels.

Jabbed the hell out of him and with a few sharp counters convinced Zlat (against type) to not take too many chances, then brutally KOd him anyway. And didn't seem to get out of 2nd gear. Doesn't have the fastest hands in the world but I'd favour him clearly over anyone currently at 135lbs.

Think Loma beats him though based on tonight.

Garcia will be at 140 after he cleans out lightweight. He won't ever see Lomo.

Then Crawford should be waiting in the wings.

Loma deserves his hype but let's not forget how good Mikey is. He massacred salido.

Mikey is a P4P fighter who probably beats all current lightweights and junior welterweights apart from Crawford. Tonight he very clearly showed the difference between an elite fighter and merely a solid fighter; Zlat is no stiff, and his wins over Burns and Petrov are respectable, but that was a massacre.

:TU: he's pretty much massacred every opponent. Crazy how sharp he is.

He look good tonight ?

Garcia had that massive layoff, seems to have kept in relatively good shape during the off time.

They got a got firm down there in California with Roberto excellent vibe much like the Brit Lot.
Mikey seems driven.

Mikey Garcia and Lomachenko are the two best, most fundamentally sound boxers in the sport. It would be a real shame if they never fight each other.

I sometimes marvel at how ridiculous you people are. Look at you all kissing Mikey Garcia's ass for knocking out a midget last night. This was nothing but a CHERRY PICKING championship.

How Mikey Garcia even gets a title shot after not fighting for almost 3 years is beyond me but let's call it what it was. Cherry picking at it's finest. These cherry picking titles are not WORLD titles to me. Not impressed.

I agree that Zlaticanin is limited and he was out-matched in this fight. I disagree with the cherrypicking part. It was a good second fight back but Mikey has much more work to do in the lightweight division. Talks of moving up to face TC are premature. But if Garcia has a busy year and takes down a couple of more undefeated LW champs, I could see a collision course with Crawford or Lomassiah in 2018.

I've been high on Mikey for a very long time. Besides Lomachenko, who fundamentally would you put ahead of M Garcia?
