Garcia v Zlaticanin

Mikey's available at slightly better than 1-2 on the markets.

At face value that's an absolute bargain, he's a class above isn't he ? What am I missing ?

Inactivity, moving up in weight, facing his first real fighter in 3 years! Didn't look his usual self against Rojas (who himself had been out for 2 years)

He looked pretty good against Rojas I thought considering the layoff. Carried his power up at least.

IMO it's hard to say he carried the power up when he was fighting a natural Featherweight, who had fought once in 4 years!

Your missing nothing..... Your eyesight looks spot-on to me.

Are you a fighter pilot by any chance? Definitely 20/20 vision. :OhYes:

Lump on! :box:

Zlat's reputation built on getting a close nod Vs. a washed up Ricky Burns.

Garcia is top 5 p4p class - this will be a 120-108 type of fight if Zlat doesn't get stopped

People really need to understand how good Garcia is. I'd take him over Lomachenko if he moved up to 130.

Zlaticanin has no chance.

Garcia is one of the best hitters pound for pound and his control of distance is top notch. He's also got every punch in the book. Uppercut, left hook, right hook to put Zlaticanin away. You can't make one mistake against this guy.

I won £1,200 (£600 profit) had £400 on the win on 1/2 returned £600 and on the betting some crystal palace fan mentioned the match today with city minus 1.5 so lumped on that with Garcia in a double with another £200

Very impressive performance. p4p talent this guy. I dont see anyone from 135 lb division competing with Mikey.

I've always been big on Mikey Garcia. He's a beast physically and has great technique all round. He's calm cold and calculated. He fights nothing like his brother and trainer who was more of a action packed slickster who lacked certain physical attributes that his brother has in spades.

What I like about Mikey Garcia is that he does it all correctly. He's always fought in the same way you'd teach a fighter to fight. Behind a jab, great movement, controls the distance with his jab, throws every punch correctly and puts them all together perfectly. He uses the jab defensively and offensively. He never makes any mistakes really. It's textbook fundamentals of boxing 101. He's not there doing anything spectacular but he's doing the pure basics so well that he's very very hard to beat. He's always had p4p power too, which comes from his technique.

In theory he should win every fight because he's fundamentally better than his opponents. He surely can't be outboxed by conventional fighters. This could be where Lomachenko comes in. Terence Crawford fights out of both stances and can be awkward too. I don't see Flanagan or Crolla/Linares doing much against Garcia. I would actually worry for Crolla if that fight was made.

Crolla wouldn't be let anywhere near Garcia.

Yeah if I was managing Crolla I'd want money that sets him up for life.

Garcia looked superb, didn't seem to struggle with the southpaw stance one bit and Zlaticinin's dangerous right hook was non-exhistent. Very chilling knockout. The manner of the victory surely marks him out as the number 1 even if there will be obvious dispute from Linares if he wins again vs Crolla. I imagine Garcia will be very much avoided.

Linares v Garcia is a must for this year. Would fancy Garcia strongly but it would be an entertaining match up.

I've always been massively impressed with Garcia, he just has that air about him of an elite fighter. It all looks so easy and effortless, Zlaticanin really did have no chance, he's Euro level off his wins.

I don't bet much these days but if I'd seen 1/2 for Garcia I'd have been tempted to lump on. Should have been more like 1/5 to 1/8 ish but that's how wrong the bookies get boxing sometimes.
