Brutal as fornicate! Was genuinely worried when he stayed down....and stayed...and stayed...seemed like 15 minutes of medical attention and then he sat on a stool and still looked like he was confused as to what had happened. Gotta say that was more brutal than the Garcia Vs Zlaticanin on

To be expected. Takam, despite his Parker and Povetkin losses, is the business.
What round was the knockout? How was the fight progressing up till then?

4th round, Rekowski had been down in round 3 but wasn't being battered until the salvo in round 4

Yeah, brutal KO, something like Wilder vs Szpilka.

Rekowski is a decent journeyman but he was outclassed big time by Takam. Takam dropped him in the 3rd & every time he hit him cleanly Rekowski was pushed back. You knew it was a matter of time in the 2nd round when Rekowski landed a huge counter right & Takam barely flinched. That was a brutal knock out for sure. He was down for 15 minutes...

well Rekowski from some time cant take a punch, before that he was a quite good fighter, but well he is almost 40 now so its better to not risk his health. he moved to pros too late

Don't sell Rekowski as a journeyman...he's done... He lost 4 of his last 5 fights... He was a stay busy fight at the most.. Why is this newsworthy???

That is exactly what he is. A fading journeyman that better fighters stay busy with.

When they want to grab an easy win instead of scoring newsworthy KO's.

That's how it works...beat journeymen for small money, and receive good money to lose to boxers who need record (Povetkin, Parker).
That's how solid boxers make a living-)

This was the 2nd option for Takam. He was originally signed to fight Duhaupas on Jan 29 for a 60/40 split of around 320000 euros for Duhaupas' WBC regional belt. That all changed when Povetkin offered Duhaupas 500000 to replace Stiverne following the failed drug test. This left Takam without a dance partner so this was the next best thing at the time.

Still think back at what could have been vs. Parker. He was on the front foot in the middle rounds, and he didn't force the issue. I think Takam could have won that fight if he'd of stepped on the gas at the right time. Where does Takam go from here? Back for another WBC eliminator?

Probably a WBC or IBF eliminator. I believe he is near the top on both...
