Seems like the obvious fight to be made at 130 now, and I assume HBO will be pushing for it. Does Berchelt stand a chance?

I think he has a very very small chance. Lomachenko is going to be extremely hard for him to hit cleanly. His only chance is to catch Lomachenko with a hard shot but I don't think he has the foot speed to set up that shot. Lomachenko will make Berchelt look like a plodder.

I agree.

Vargas caught Berchelt way out over the front foot repeatedly. He was constantly reaching with his jab. He is not on Lomassiah's level but he won't quit.

Yes this is probably more likely for the April 8th fight since Berchelt would probably want more than 10 weeks to recover and train for a guy like Lomachenko. But I gotta assume HBO will push for this fight to happen this year. Hopefully, at least.
