Seem to remember Real Deal telling us it was on Eurosport from 11.45, if you have that channel.

I don't. No cable going into my building which is part of a huge block owned by the landlord, and cannot get permission to get a dish installed as they are victorian buildings. Totally impossible to get cable or sattelite. Moving in 2 weeks.
Oh Ian, if you need somewhere to crash if you come down for Thompson Haye, I can put you up.

There is an article on Amir Khan on the Eurosport site.

Are the Beeb showing the Boxing through the "Red Button" on there SKY and Digital service? That's what i was told, i am sure they did it before

I have SKY downstairs but it's always a fight for the TV, so i was thinking i could creep upstairs and make use of the Digital Freeview set in my room, at least it will be good for something

Yes you are quite right mate, I noticed that, considering buying a freeview box just for that. It's a little window into the future olympic boxing, well worth catching, I'm just dubious about how much boxing coverage you will get with it.

Sounds great!
BUT
My new job STARTS on Monday! Damn, what have I done! 8.30am until 5pm I'll be at work, any highlights of our boxer on the night?

Not to sure what is the best, Khan fighting on Monday or the fact that Jill Douglas is presenting that show.

There is a TV set at my work which I will be glued to throughout a late lunch.
If Amir can negotiate the early rounds he has the potentail, with his youth and the fact that he is our sole rep, to capture the public's imagination.
It was encouraging to hear him talk of ambitions for Beijing - lets hope money does not ofrce him down the 'Kevin Mitchel route'.

The light heavyweight and heavyweight have some tough fights.
The two gold medal fav is heavyweight , Solis and Alekseev will meet in the first round
In light heavy one one of Henadez (CUB), Makarenko (RUS ) and Ward (USA) will get a medal

Solis V Alekseev, thats a shame for both of them really, no doubt they are number 1 and 2 in the tournament... wonder why Russia picked Alekseev over Romanchuk who has beaten Solis twice.
Alekseev lost by 3 points against Solis in last years worlds....
first round draw against a Greek in athens isnt necessarily a lucky draw for Amir!!!!

Getting a Greek is a shocker of a draw for Khan.

I have to disagree. Thats a fine draw for Khan. The crowd behind you doesn't necessarily account for having less talent than your opponent. The scoring might be "dodgy" admittedly, but Khan will surely look to put it beyond doubt.

Christ, anything could happen if Khan doesn't walk it. I still remember Eric Griffin getting jobbed against a Spaniard in the Barcelona Olympics.
