Katie Taylor to appear on Haye-Bellew bill at The O2 on March 4

Katie Taylor will be hoping to extend the perfect start to her professional career when she appears on next month's David Haye-Tony Bellew bill at The O2.
The Irish amateur star will target her third victory in the paid ranks on the undercard for Haye's heavyweight clash with Bellew on March 4, live on Sky Sports Box Office.
Taylor marked her professional debut with a third-round stoppage win over Karina Kopinska at Wembley Arena in November and followed that up two weeks later with a points victory over Viviane Obenauf in Manchester.
The 30 year-old, who is yet to learn the details of her opponent, wants to kick off her year with another impressive performance.
"It's great to be on another big card in front of a huge crowd at an arena like The O2," said Taylor.

She's alright to watch but women's boxing just doesn't interest me! I'm sure someone like Taylor with her status and skill will get more and more people interested but I doubt I'll be one of em!

Sadly there just aren't enough women who fight to make the division interesting.
I like Katie, and she seems to look alright in her limited pro performances. But how many big fights are there for her out there?

I find even the men's tennis to be insanely boring. Could just never get into it. The only time tennis is even remotely watchable is if the women are something worth looking at.

And even then, I can never stomach a whole game of it.
I sometimes watch the England women's football team if they're playing, and I fancy a few beers. Though, obviously that's not the best football you're ever going to see, there's something slightly entertaining about watching it. There's no link-up play at all, and you get people trying to shoot from ridiculous angles. (Sometimes even scoring.) I once saw a woman slip over, the ball hit her on the arse and rebounded into the net. She then ran up to the opposition fans and did the "Ssssh" hand signal at them.
In it's own way, it's more entertaining than the England's men's team. At least the women are actually trying to win. I'd take England women's team over that cobblers against Iceland any day.

If that wasn't dross then I most certainly won't be getting interested in womens boxing for some time

The Aim is for late 2017/early 2018 if at WW. If she calls then i'd accept immediatly. Had talks and she wants me to move to WW which i'd have no problem doing. But saying that my main aim Personally is to take all belts at LW first before going up to WW

Tough ask though. She's been cruising through the opponents for years now.
Hope it happens for you. She's from Bergen (via Columbia) which is where I live now. Might get made in Bergen

Adopted as a 2 year old. She was instrumental in getting pro boxing legalised in Norway again. Not fought in Bergen yet though. Had a couple of fights in Oslo.
Evensen was a little bloke wasn't he. Tough bugger though

Glad you're on the forum. I've never been a fan of woman's boxing (no disrespect) but I want to watch yourself. I'm sure with the right promotion and exposure you can bring a lot more fans out.
What is the weight difference between yourself and Holly Holm? That would surely do big business?
