What a fool I was - I HAVE given up on him - he'd run out of gas in Prizefighter

I'm pretty sure he was given up in a long time ago. Decent fella but he just doesn't have the right tools, most don't and most don't fight to this level. Nothing to be ashamed of.

David borrowed my car with a full tank of fuel a couple of years ago but came walking back towards my house minutes later

Given up on as an elite HW, but even with all the fragility he's shown it was still consensus--at least it seemed to me--that he was a level above EBU guys like Teper and Hammer.

There's always been 'he has the power to KO anyone he hits!', but now he's 0-4 (4) beyond domestic level.

Nasty thread by an anonymous poster as usual .I've got David's number here if anybody wants to phone him up and tell him personally how much of a failure he is ? He fought his heart out tonight although I have to disagree with Dave coldwells punch and move advice I would have preferred the punch and go again approach . Specially considering his size and weight advantages.

Maybe it was, I haven't followed the build up to this or read the threads on here. I have zero confidence in him and wouldn't automatically pick him against anyone and think if I was was a boxer of any level I'd fancy beating price.

Price was a good British level fighter and I enjoyed his reign of terror back around 2012, a run which made him a victim of his own success by creating the lofty expectations he was judged against. His world class power and shortcomings in stamina and durability have made him a fighter I'm always excited to watch, even when he's boxing lower level opponents.

He had his moments tonight, and despite the bout's sloppy nature I found it entertaining. I imagine that he could still beat area level fighters like Gary Cornish, but is that what he wants? It might be best to call it a day now.

He looked gassed from the end of the 3rd round?

Always a way back..... when hughie gets beat by Parker he can come back to fight price.

But the lad was a disappointment tonight, a million dollars one round and a million lira the next. But he's never in a boring fight.

Prizefighter would be even worse than a normal fight for Price, it's usually carried out at a frenetic pace. Pricey would be hanging over the ropes within a couple of minutes.

hammer is a decent world class fighter. he deserves a big fight now

I think the blame here lies with the trainer , just has much has the fighter , Coldwell is being paid good money to train the guy ,, why did'nt he just say 3 weeks ago forget it YOUR NOT FIT ,,, If in the gym the trainer is allowing the fighter to have soft work outs , and not correcting them , he's gonna put in a soft performance , , facts are he started to gas at rnd 3 ,, disgraceful for a profesional boxer , thats what ameteures do , and in fact most of them don't

Like i said whats even more discgraceful is a profesional trainer not getting his fighter in shape ,,

HAYE early stoppage , Bellow falls to the knee knackered in rnd 7 , if that training is anything to go by

Price was badly out of shape. He can't seem to fight rough. The sad truth is that the ref stopped him getting knocked cold.

He hasn't beaten ONE quality operator as a pro. Time to hang them up. Calling out Joshua for a payday..........

Hammer is EBU level. Any genuine world class fighter would beat him comfortably IMO, but he can be competitive at a respectable level beneath that.

I wouldn't mind seeing him fight someone like Adrian Granat. He'll also probably have a ranking boost with the WBO, and I imagine that the Parker-Fury winner might see him as a relatively safe option.

I just wish old Boomer was still on here. He ASSURED us that Pricey would be undisputed, and Swifty, and Frankie Gavin, there's more.... If we'd have all followed Boomer's advice we'd all be at food banks now. He even fell out with people who disagreed.

He's absolute shite and a danger to himself and has been since Thompson 1. On a lighter note I'd love him to say hammer was on ped's, that would really make my day

Back to the gym. Work more on utilising that world class power and stay behind that ram rod jab and he'll be onto a winner.

It's a shame because he seems a real no ce bloke. Problem is, boxing will always expose any flaws eventually and being a nice guy means fvck all. Price has a mental block and has never developed since his am days. He fights so small for his size and his jab has always been a waste of time really. Strange but there you go.

British champ and Olympic bronze are fantastic achievements and he should rightly be proud of them. He should probably wind it in now though, unless he is happy to drop down and work the domestic scene.

Why oh why he/his camp thought it would be smart to pack on a couple of stone, I'll never know. He wasn't exactly a great mover when he was lighter and he clearly suffered stamina/durability issues in Thompson 2. Adding so much weight was never going to improve anything. In a weird way I think he/his team believed that added weight = more punch resistance

The worst thing to come out of this is I know Hearn will be scrambling to arrange a PPV fight between Hammer and Joshua and sell it on the basis of Hammer beating Price and TePEDr.

There's no denying tonight was a bad blow to Pricey'so ambitions of moving onward to bigger prizes.

That said, Pricey can come back from this. He's a big guy with a fairly hard punch, there are fights out there for him.

There's a lot of money to be made in the Heavyweight division. And at the moment, Pricey is going to need keeping his name out of the spotlight and getting his head down for the rest of the calendar year

If he accepts a position as a mid-card fighter and fighting 8-10 rounders... Maybe clocking up 5-6 quick wins over the next 8-9 months, he could get back on track quicker than people think.

I'd like to see him fight for and win an International title or an Intercontinental title - something like the WBO International title and defend it a fair few times.

A minor strap like that could be right up his Street and he could really make it his own...
