Audley shouldn't be in there in my humble opinion. His WBF title is nothing in comparison to a British title.

yeah if Im honest I missed hunter though I think I would have had him in latter part.
Theres a few that could have gone in instead of the likes of Aud and Skelton but I chopped and changed so much it was doing my head in by the end, took me freakin ages as Kev said, partly due to my addiction to having a good time and partly cos I couldnt my mind up....(and partly cos Im juggling work, woman, mates, cricket, family and playing football).

feel free to pick at though fellas taking in opinion and different slants on it is what its all about sometimes!

Good list mate enjoyed reading it, must have been dipressing not being able to put hatton at number 1 cos he's f*cking around so much. Would argue with Skelton in a P4P list because he relies so much on his size and weight.

I think it's a decent enough list, it's pretty much how i'd have had it. Maybe i'd have tried to make a case for Jason Booth being at the very tail end, and i would still have Brodie in there somewhere, but no really unworthy names made it in.

doh ! In fairness I did state at the begining of the article Im looking at those who are potentially making an impact, for example I think Brodie may well not get another world title shot, but Robin Reid revitalsied his career and could well get a meaningful shot at a belt.

I personally think if he took on somoene like Johannesson now he would lose.

of course its your list and you criteria.... in my opinion a lot of people overlook Brodies achievements. Euro champ.... two very close fights for WBC titles at seperate weights

indeed mate, totally subjective, I agree just think he is done at the top level now. Just my p/o/view of course.

He has beena great little battler over the years, I dont really want to see him continue to be honest tho, think he will end up being fodder for the youger fighters on the up.

The very nature of these lists leads to some good debates. I would have had Hobbo and Hunter in there but the latter would be more on potential - he needs to be a bit more active but is fighting next month.

Of the top of the my head - 11) Jason Cook, 12) Junior Witter, 13)Esham Pickering, 14) Danny Williams 15)Jawid Khaliq, 16)Michael Gomez, 17)Nicky Cook 18)Richard Williams 19) James Hare 20)Matt Skelton.

Michael Hunter would be my 21st ranked. Although, I am a big fan - I just think its a little soon yet. Craig Docherty will be in if he wins the Euro title, and Wayne McCullough is ommited due to inactivity.

I know it's all about opinions but isn't Carl Johanneson a little lofty at 14? Nobody had heard of him a couple of fights ago

I woudnt say that to be honest he has fought on the Beeb undercards for some time. Seems Carl is the most controversial selection on there, fair enough we all have our preferred fighters, also the omission of Brodie has brought a few raised eyebrows.

As touched upon in the article, Ive gone in some cases for potential, I personally believe if Carl an Mikey fought now, then Johanneson would win.

Dont get me wrong Mike has been a superb ambassador for Brtish boxing, and Im a huge fan I just think he is on the slide now. Maybe Im being premature here, its nice to get some feedback fellas and thanks for the comments and props all!

I understand your logic mate but going on potential over achievement is a dangerous game, we could easily include say Roman Greenberg and justify it by stating "I think he would probably beat Harrison, Williams, Sprott etc..." it's all speculation. Brodie's actual achievements over Johanneson's undoubted potential for me i'm afraid...
