King Kong Ortiz, Joshua, Fury, Wilder Every other heavyweight is nothing but a hype job!

Wilder struggled with Duhaupas and couldn't put him down.. Wilder actually got beaten up in the process.. Then Duhaupas clubbed Helenius out for RH's only defeat... Then Povetkin destroyed the bag (Duhaupas) with a smashing 10-count KO.

You really think a 5ft something guy would beat Povetkin?

Then still, Povetkin is still way taller, more reach, has similar strenght, similar skilled, and has a far superior chin as well as stamina.
Povetkin is basically an improved, modern Mike Tyson.

You're talking myth... Big guys like Tony Tucker, Quick Tillis, James Smith, and Buster Douglas absorbed everything Mike could throw.. Those guys were knocked out by others - but a big, skilled Heavyweight is not easy to stop.. Tyson fans forget that Tyson didn't roll over everyone and that Povetkin can hit.

Fury is not the Champion... He's a mental basket case.. The biggest fight is Joshua-Ortiz and I'm looking to see that in the next year.

I'm also looking to see Wilder fight a name in the next year.. It should be a good year for the Heavyweight Division.. Ortiz, Joshua, Haye, Povetkin, Wilder, and Parker.. All they need to do is sort it out.. I see Joshua on the top of the heap in 2 years if they can actually get big fights made.. Actually, I expected a lot of action last year that never happened, such as Joshua-Parker and Wilder-Povetkin -- but this year I think there really will be some real movement and they will get some real big matches made.

I don't view Joshua-Kitschko as a big fight, and I don't understand the box office appeal of that fight. That fight is nothing but house cleaning.

Yes I know that Fury and Klitschko are not on that list but they've been inactive for over a year.

The first thing that stands out is how rare it is for those in the top ten to face each other and how rare it is for a heavyweight belt holder to face top ten opposition.
Joseph Parker has not even defended his title yet but he's fought and beaten twice as many top ten fighters as Joshua and Wilder combined.

It's not a list of who beats who. For instance I'd back Andy Ruiz against any of the other bottom five.

Its a list of who has the best record against current top opposition.

Buster beat Tyson ON THE NIGHT, it doesn't mean he beats him 10 time out of ten, the personal circumstances of both fighters played a big part in the result, and the fact that buster was stopped 3 times before that fight means absolutely NOTHING at all

I still pick a 1980s Tyson over Povetkin even though you guys have presented good arguments. Tyson was really young and green in the Tills fight and in the Bonecrusher and Tucker fights, Iron Mike didn't lose many rounds. Perhaps Povetkin would go the distance and lose an UD to Tyson, even though my first thoughts were early KO, but who really knows?

A prime Tyson bets all of the guys mentioned here. Wlad would have a chance as he has mastered the ability to hold, something that really effected and wore down Tyson. But the rest I think get stopped. The Tyson who Douglas beat was not the best Tyson so dont compare that.

If we're talking about Mike Tyson in his prime, then my answer is a definitive yes. Being shorter can be an advantage if you know how to use it. Povetkin isn't in his class and gets stopped.

Buster caught Tyson at the perfect time.

Anyhow, size is irrelevant. Everyone Tyson fought was bigger than him, and some bigger than Povetkin. I'd pick a prime Tyson to beat Povetkin. It would be interesting to see how Povetkin handled Tyson on the inside.

RIGHT!!! ... Steve Cunningham (210 and ripped) was knocked cold by Fury with one hard shot... For the only KO loss Steve Cunningham has ever suffered

If Fury was trained right and not a mental case -- I believe he'd tear Povetkin up... If he came in fat and fkkd in the head, Povetkin could take him.
