Former WBC heavyweight champion Bermane Stiverne (25-2-1, 21 KOs) has rejected the idea of facing Luis Ortiz (27-0, 23 KOs). Both boxers are positioned for a final WBC world title eliminator.
"Just to clear up the rumors and lies, A fight between Ortiz and I isn't happening. We got bigger fish to fry," Stiverne stated.

Can't really blame the guy. Along with everyone else on the planet, he understands what the outcome of the fight would most likely be. I'm sure he wants to prolong his career a bit and get his family settled a bit better financially before suffering some sort of serious brain trauma.

Stiverne is a coward.. He wasn't fighting Povetkin and he knew he wouldn't have to.. With Ortiz he was never going to fight him anyway.. Who does he think he's going to fight who's easy for him to beat??? Rossy again?? Arreola again?? Maybe he can get a come-backing Glazkov. He'd jump all over that.. That's really big fish right?? ... Or maybe he thinks he can get Martin.. A tremendous fish to fry right??

Stiverne holding out for more coin by the sounds of it, he has a thin record but a direct route to Wilder who he went the distance with.

Massively overrating Ortiz. He'd start as favourite no doubt hut he really isn't this destroyer who everyone wants to avoid, unless he is purposely making himself look shite since he signed with Matchroom in order to land fights!

For the first time in many years there's intriguing talent in the heavyweight division and it's been that way for 2 years now. We are still yet to see matchmakers creating a fight that we want to see. It's Pathetic. Sad. Interest was high and now it's waning badly.

I thought he ducked Povetkin as well?

Hmmm, If I remember correctly, Povetkin tested positive for a banned steroid, and the WBC refused to sanction the fight. Please, correct me if I am wrong. :brick: :brick: :brick:

Stiverne got caught for a banned substance, and Povetkin has tested negative for all steroids out there by every sanction body out there except the corrupt one in America that (for unknown reasons) Wilder begged so desperately for to be involved. And even they claimed they only found 0,00000000001 of a gram, remarkeble isn't it?

Correct me if I'm wrong. :brick: :brick: :brick:

Are you seriously trying to defend Povetkin's test results? If so, you are way dumber than I thought. Stiverne drank something right in front of the tester to facilitate urination, for the test. He was told by his team it was totally legal. Are you making the same claim for Povetkin? No. Two totally different situations, and no bias or preference given to Stiverne. Povetkin is banned from any WBC fight in the future, and rightfully so.

All I see is Wada/Vada beïng wrong again, all other test agencys proof Povetkin is innocent again.
It's obvious that Wada/Vada is wrong all over again, just like many other times. If you're still trying to defend their testresults you're way dumber then I thought. Stiverne even got busted right in front of a tester and the testresults were still negative and now they are able to trace 0,00000000001 of a gram of some illegal substance in Povetkin his body? Povetkin? The, by distance, most tested boxer in the entire world? Clean all the time except the test that everybody knows would be reveiled just before the match? And not just once, but several times in a row? For differend substances in fact? It's ridiculous, like 0,00000000001 of a gram of any substance would make anyone any stronger? Povetkin could have sended his daughter to KO Stiverne in the first round and you think this olympic champion needs steroids? Fighting piles and piles of top contenders clean and then against this bum American Povetkin suddenly needed to roid?

It's obviously bullshit, if you really don't see that then I can't take you seriously, sorry.

Russians have been caught a lot lately. People suspected it for years. About time. Just one example.

so, they never found anything at all, they just created a tape and that's enough to ban someone for years?
