Dillian Whyte - June 3rd
Posted: 12 Feb 2017, 01:14
by Taansend
Whyte tweeted a lovely photo of some chicken & fettuccine (I think) on Saturday with the message....
"
Time to get fit again get ready for June 3rd can't wait to step in the ring again"
Anyone know who it's against?
Or does anyone want to guess who it's against?
Or does anyone want to make up some complete b0ll0cks?
Cheers

I hope Chisora.
My guess would be Stiverne for a shot at Wilder...

He needs to fight Chisora again.
That fight was too close to be left like that.
I watched it live & thought Whyte won; when I rewatched on TV, I thought Chisora won.

Any idea why a young prospect who needs to push his claim for title contention can only fight once every 6 months?
I don't understand these heavyweights at all. They should be fighting all the time, bashing heads, making statements. He was knackered through most the Chisora fight. He needs to be active and in shape.

WBC Rankings -
1. Bermane Stiverne
2. Luis Ortiz
3. Kubrat Pulev
4. Dillian Whyte
If Chisora doesn't get the fight Stiverne, Ortiz or Pulev would all be fun fights...

Whyte would be stupid to fight Chisora when a fight with Stiverne and a possible title fight after, is on the cards.

I would be happy with any of those four, and they should be easy to make.
Chisora should fight Hammer on same card also.

I'm sure Pulev was mentioned a while ago.

On the money.
This baffles me too.
He definitely needs to stay active, because he has that body type whereby he piles on the pounds easily.
He's still not in the best shape he could be, but he is improving.

Here's fought four times in six months, I think he deserves a break

I'm sure fighting Ivicia Bacurin, Dave Allen and Ian Lewison was an awesome challenge. And a 12 round struggle with Derek Chisora? Sounds like activity would be the remedy, not sitting on his fat arse for half of 2017.

He's still been in constant training camps and that's coming off the back of shoulder surgery

Whyte spent a lot of time in Loughborough doing his strength and conditioning in 2016, so I assume he is ticking over doing that. Quite cool seeing British champs walking around campus, amongst others haha

If I was to guess, I reckon Chisora on PPV either as a main or co-main.
But with Stiverne telling Ortiz to do one a wonder if there's something being lined up to bring Bermane to England. Either would do me.
As long as they're not PPV headliners.

If Stiverne refuses the eliminator he'll lose his ranking, so it wuld more likely be Ortiz.

Whyte against any of those Top 3 would be interesting fights. Stiverne is the only one I'd give him much of a shot at winning.

I agree. Pulev wins on points. Ortiz destroys him in 5

Would personally like to see Whyte against Ortiz. Think Ortiz would get him out of there in the later rounds but it would be a good test for both fighters.
I think fighting Chisora again would be a step backwards if a potential title shot is on the horizon.

I dont know. Ortiz and Pulev will be mandatory should AJ beat Klit.
Tieing Ortiz up with Whyte would buy AJ some time...

Bryant Jennings thinks Dillian Whyte would be easy work.
I wouldn't mind seeing a card with -
Main - Whyte vs. Breazeale
Co-main - Chisora vs. Jennings

I'd love to see Whyte vs Ortiz, if not a Chisora rematch would be great
