Both Ballas fighting opponents with very ordinary looking CVs.

Come on Boges! How else are they going move comfortably through the ranks? Then get destroyed by the elite fighters...

I don't know anything about Mitchell and only seen a bit of his fight with Nader. I'm hoping Les can turn back the clock and do a number on him. Les is a great bloke who can fight.

Jayde is fairly slick and has a good work rate. I suspect Les is on the down slide now and Jayde's timing might be good.

Yes Les might be on the down slide but sometimes these old fellas can pull out a big upset. Les can box and can also bang. The whiskers have failed him before but if this bloke can't bang too hard he could be right in it. Well I hope so anyway.

Has the makings of a really good domestic dust up this one.

Jade impressed me when he fought in Japan, nice skills were on show, good young talent but a bit small at the weight

Puton is much better than his record suggests, a genuine potential banana skin

Sadly Les is becoming a stepping stone these days.

He lost to a yank in America and lost to Zac Dunn. How is that classed as a stepping stone? We will know a bit more after this fight but to say that after 2 losses to pretty good opponents is a bit harsh.

You're right on there! Just predicted the usual bs of genuine Aussie fighters fighting taxi drivers. Puton has fought for a few minor world titles in the past couple of years. Could well be a banana skin.
Peunte but... 18-2, yes. But only 2 of his opponents have had positive records. Some have had records of 0-36...

I'm with Goose on this one Chris. Sherrington has never been much better than a very good domestic fighter, which is more than good enough to get my respect as a fighter. But let's be realistic, Les is in the twilight of his career, where he is now seen as a 'stepping stone' for young, hungry fighters to push through to the world stage. I expect Mitchell to have too much in the bank for Les.

Well after this fight and if he gets beat I'll say you were right. But hard to say that he is just a stepping stone after those 2 losses.

Agreed, and the first of those two recent losses was in Las Vegas against American Antoine Douglas, who was 19 fights without a loss at the time.
This fight will sure have a big say in where Les is headed from here though.

I meant no disrespectto Les but his wins are hardly against world beaters and he's not that active. From what(little admittedly) I have seen of Mitchell he should have no problems getting past Les.

You could be right. But hard to class him in the stepping stone stage of his career just yet. His last 2 losses were to pretty handy fighters and his loss before that was to Sam Solomon. This fight will tell us a lot more. Les can box and bang but his chin has let him down a few times. He is at the end of his career but if Mitchell is not what he's cracked up to be, Les might get him out of there. That's all I'm saying.

Yeah this will tell us a lot about Mitchell.
