Spoke to Paul Butler recently and he is scheduled to fight on 8th April.

After that he wants McDonnell or Haskins.

What are your thoughts on either of the potential matchups?

Paul is convinced he beats them both and I am inclined to agree with them (despite being slightly biased )

Not convinced of either, particularly McDonnell, but good domestic clashes that would sell.

Butler v McDonnell would be some fight whatever the result.

Good little round robin of fights with them three. Never been mad keen on Butler. I thought BN blew smoke up his arse far too much. McDonnell is a bit of a hot and cold fighter and I'd like to see him step up to SBW. He must be struggling to make the bantam limit.

Tete would leather the three of them in the same weekend

Agree about McDonnell, think he looked awful in Monte Carlo.

I was there when Paul was unfortunate enough to cross paths with Tete. We don't talk about that too often

McDonnell looked bad vs Solis but I'm willing to put that down to a bad night since he's put in good performances in the past vs Ceja and Kameda twice (Kameda both were close fights but I scored both to McDonnell by a couple of points and both are very underrated wins imo).

Butler shouldn't be fighting journeymen, he's a former world champ ffs.
Unfortunately for him McDonnell and Haskins sound like they'll be tied up with rematches!

He can. But I think he is set on one of these two.

If I was FW I'd put a big offer down to get ZZ for either Tete or Butler.

Ideal opponent for Butler in the north-west with Hatton involved.

He'd benefit from fighting and beating a Brit.

Totally agree. When he beats Solis more decisively he'll be on the strongest run of wins by a British fighter since Froch. After Hall, Ceja, Kameda, Kameda again and a fierce rivalry with Solis...and doubt he'd have any reason to fear Tete. Any guy who did a bit of Brit bashing is at risk of being overrated.
