he moved up to take on the most feared boxer on earth. he was winning on points (maybe :TU: ), but lets be honest, he fought a good fight against GGG and now he is fighting arguably the #1 us talent out there.

when amir and canelo are all talk, kell walks the talk!!! win, lose or draw, this is boxing, the best fight the best, spence and brook are amongs the best and i am so happy that this year is getting better and better, brook-spence and thurman-garcia are top of the top welterweight fights, i told you 2017 would explode with super fights, i told you 2016 was just the top level boxers beating up the rest of the competetion, beating up b, c level opponent, so that at the end only a level names are left and ready to bang, i told you and now, now its happening :brick: :bag: :brick: :bag: :brick: :bag: :box: :box: :box: :box: :box: :OhYes: :yay: :TU:

I have a tough time saying he fought a good fight against ggg, but he absolutely deserves a ton of respect for taking on ggg and spence. Not the move I would have made if I were him, but he deserves credit.

he won rounds against ggg, he looked better against ggg in early rounds than anybody that ggg has ever faced before. he landed quick combos, moved better, was faster, more athletic and had he had more power, than he would have troubled ggg more with his connecting punches

Yes but he got his face broken in four rounds. Any way you cut it, that isn't good.

Which rounds did Kell win ? I am not asking about cards by British judges. I am asking which rounds Kell REALLY won. He did not have more success than Monroe Jr. The same way as Monroe, he had some pockets of success, but he was not winning rounds. The only person who was actually winning rounds against Golovkin was Ouma.

GGG was ahead on my personal scorecards 39-37, with Brook winning only the second round, despite the pro-Brit crowd emitting a thunderous roar every time Kell threw a punch.

brook won round 2, that's all. And it shouldn't be a that much of a shock. He was the lighter, faster fighter. If kell technically wasn't lighter he's used to operating lighter and other than the beating another reason he slowed down so much. Good use of towel.

Ha-ha-ha. In the first round, he was dominated, hurt and had his skull broken. Neither did he win 2 or 3.

At the most I would give the 2nd round even. Brook didn't win any clear rounds that I saw. 3rd should have been a 10-8, but think they ruled it a slip, and if they did they shouldn't have. A lot of Brooks shots landed on GGG's gloves, but did get some shots in...its boxing. Brook looked gassed by the 4th, and never once made GGG take a step back.

When I think of giving a good account of himself, like in Brook's case, I would say that if he at least lasted more than half the fight, but he didn't.

He did win some early rounds. He was quicker and more mobile than GGG. However, it didn't take G too long to figure it out. The ability for a fighter to adjust successfully tells a lot about how good he is. That's what make Floyd the best of his era.

Brook will still be undefeated at 54 after Errol beats him up. Gotta love his willingness, very rare these days.

Literally! Funny seeing Hearn jump up like a little kid every time Brook connected. I had it 39-37 at the time. Had that round finished, it could have easily been a 10-8 round. Kell threw nothing.

I just love how people on this site continuously get in arguments about how many rounds Brook took against GGG in their fight like it matters. THE FIGHT WAS OVER IN ROUND 5 PEOPLE. DOES IT REALLY MATTER IF BROOK WON A ROUND OR TWO IF HE COULDN'T EVEN MAKE IT HALFWAY THROUGH THE FIGHT? Yes, i capitalized that because of how ridiculous these arguments seem to me.

It's like that time i lead the Boston Marathon for the first 20 seconds of the race. I didn't finish the race but I lead early. lol. Joke.

Harshness aside, Brook is the man. He should get ALL the credit in the world for taking these two fights back to back. Win or lose. Maybe other fighters will get it.

he took on the most dangerous fighter at middleweight and now he takes on arguably the most dangerous fighter at welterweight, respect. compared to all these pussys who make 10000000000000000 demands or have 1000000000000 reasons not to fight the most dangerous and 100000000000 of years pass by before we get the fight we desired he is doing what 100000000000 dont do, dont complain, fight the best, now, win or lose dont matter, just give the fans what they want in present time.

I don't know if I am the only one who is thinking this. But do we feel that Eddie Hearn and Matchroom are having to put together some bigger and more competitive to justify the PPV platform. Because Anthony Joshua v Eric Molina was a bit one-sided even though the rest of the bill was fantastic.
