Manny's speed in training is insane, on the bag, pads, and when shadow boxing. I remember being awestruck years ago when I first saw the footage below from 0:30-0:52.

that was what i took from the video, just cold deliberate power. no need for flashy handspeed. he has all the judges and the referee in the angled downward right hand over the top he throws.
