The fight has already been made but not yet official announced.Berto won't admit he will fight Porter,he claims he's waiting for Al Haymon who he will be fighting next.However Porter is confident that Berto would be his next opponent.

This fight was apparently being negotiated during the last quarter of 2016 and at the beginning of January, April was the unofficially proposed date for the bout.

What has changed since then to justify the creation of this thread? Has any of the parties confirmed anything "officially"?

Just because you falsely claimed that the Alvarez-Beterbiev fight was CONFIRMED, doesn't prevent me from asking a question out of pure curiosity on another thread about a different fight that is very likely to take place in the short-term.

Sometimes when threads like this get created over a bout that has been in the works for a long time, it's usually because something's been announced to the media, hence my question.

I am asking a sensible question on someone else's thread that is also sensible in nature, which relates to events taking place in the real world.

Repeatedly beating someone over the head for a simple mistake that the person has admitted and that has been corrected is basically rubbing it in your own face.

I think Porter v Berto will be a nice fight that Porter should take.

His bitterness about being corrected once has led to him stalking me on multiple threads and spamming insults, which only serves to encourage me to continue poking the bear.

The last time he got corrected about his opinion of Adonis Stevenson, he admitted he didn't care about facts. So he has a proven track record of getting things wrong... and then spamming the forum with his outrage.

Let's wait for the announcement... It would be a great fight for Porter and a stupid fight for Berto. He can't possibly win so I don't know why he'd take it. Let's face it, the Victor Ortiz fight made a ton of sense for Berto. But since Collazo is coming on, I wouldn't even fight him right now, were I Berto.
