AMATRUDA AND ELLIS ALIGN WITH JOINT-PROMOTIONAL VENTURE

Brian Amatruda and Jake Ellis have announced their joint-promotional venture for 2017. Amatruda and Ellis will look to run three shows out of The Melbourne Pavilion, with their first show set for May 19th.

The shows will consist of 3-4 round contests, with an 8 round as the main event, and are aimed at those looking to turn professional but may not have the biggest support/backing to do so.

Amatruda and Ellis maintain that this proposed formula is something Australia hasn’t seen just yet- and may result in a potential resurgence of the sport in the time to come.

Vic boxing has certainly come a long way since mid to late 90's, when it was pushed to score 20 shows per year.
1995 - 9
1996 - 10
1997 - 11
1998 - 10

It was usually for many years
1. NSW
2. Qld

4. SA
At times SA did better than Vic. WA & Tas not worth mentioning
