But there’s some details that have to be worked out. There’s a couple of little details."

“The offer is there,” the Golden Boy CEO said. “He would be making the most money ever. Golovkin without Canelo is — he’s making what he’s making. We’re waiting for him and the ball’s in his court. There is a date in September wide open so it’s just a matter of him signing on the dotted line. The offer is there. Eric’s been talking to Tom and the offer is there.”

GGG should just swallow his pride and take one of these offers. He only has a few years tops at his best and needs a big fight like this, and if he wins he'd make a lot more in the rematch.

It's probably another poor offer, but Canelo is the bigger star and Canelo can wait, GGG hasn't got as long.

Abel Sanchez has previously claimed that many of Golovkin’s big name rivals made unreasonable fight purse demands in order to face his fighter, which he claims is a form of “ducking”.

We know for certain that Golden Boy Promotions has made multiple career-best purse offers to GGG to face Canelo.

There is a risk that GGG prices himself out of the eagerly anticipated Canelo fight.

If this happens, I wonder if Abel Sanchez will consider retracting his previous claims about big name fighters “ducking” his charge in order to avoid wholly justified accusations of hypocrisy?

Gennady Golovkin finally has the opportunity to engage in a marquee fight and gain his very first signature victory. Is he going to reject this opportunity for the sake of the dollar?

Just because Canelo makes an offer it doesn't mean that it's a good one and at 160 pound limit. He could have offered 5 million and at 154 for all we know with the BS that is going on with this fight.

GGG is going to have to swallow his pride to sign on to fight Canelo. The worst part is that GGG/Jacobs is not going to come close to matching what Canelo/Chavez Jr is going to generate for viewers and money. So when they get back at the negotiation table, Golden Boy's going to have a huge advantage just by pointing at numbers on a piece of paper of both recent fights.

GGG just wants all of the belts and doesn't care as much as the fans do about this fight with Canelo. I say that it doesn't happen.

Tend to agree with you here. As long as it's at a weight where GGG is comfortable then he should just take what's on offer. Sometimes you have to speculate to accumulate. It's not as if he'll be getting paid pennies in any case. He'll still make good money and propel himself in to the higher earning bracket in victory.

Even if GGG agrees now Canelo will find a new excuse or a new way out of the fight - we know this because Golden Boy's entire future hinges on Canelo never losing - and you can be sure the plan is to protect canelo till about 2025 lol - JCC Jr is just a choreograph (and payday-payoff for JCC Jr)

Canelo can stick his money into his ass if he doesn't make an offer GGG deserves. GGG should go after Saunders and become undisputed.

WHy should he fight GGG if he loses? Fighting Jacobs would make a lot more sense. But GGG is very much expected to win anyway. This is just nonsense

if GGG loses, Canelo will be free from having to fight GGG forever. Of course Canelo will never fight GGG. Wake up !
