An 8 Man Heavyweight Tournament forms part of the Zac Dunn - David Brophy undercard.

They have got the band back together for this one :

1. Bob Mirovic (51 yrs old) 31-24-2

2. Colin Wilson (42 yrs old) 35-30-1

3. Moses Havea 2-9

4. Ben Sosoli 1-1

5. Wallace Too - debutant

6. Thomas Russell - debutant

7. Kurtis Pegoraro 5-3

8. Kyle Brumby 4-11-3

Anyone for a Big Bob vs Col final?

Ye Gods, Mirovic lost to Ben Sosili last year and is 0-2 on his 'comeback' I can't see him beating anyone at this stage...

The guy with a 5-3 record might do alright against this field.

On a serious note, it is hard to see too many positives in Big Bob and Col smashing each other up again. Had some great wars in their time. But it's time they stopped doing it.

its pretty ridiculous isn't it?

and really what fair dinkum promoter would agree to put them on?

there r no positives at all in these guys still fighting imo.

And at least a few new guys get a chance with 2 debuts. But 51 is a bit risky for a heavyweight, isn't it?

The winner of the 8 man event to be given a permanent spot on Fred Brophy's Boxing Tent roster.

If Big Bob wins (can we see him surviving through 9 rounds), he will have to donate his body to science.

Little Bro. Hasn't fought for Fred for a long time as I'm pretty sure he's hung them up. Helped out in the corner a few years back when I fought for Fred at Moura.

Was ringside when he fought Kiss on Jan 29, 98. I was amazed he didn't get disqualified by ref Alan Moore (I think)at some stage of the fight. Cheeky bugga broke every rule in the book.....frequently squatted, leaned below Kiss' belt line & what not  Hence rematch 4 weeks later, which lost on SD

I remember him and his Bro when they started in the amateurs for Nerang in about 91. They were at the same gym as the late Jamie Nicholson. My gym mate beat Blair about 3 times but I was a bit lighter so we never met in the ring. Pretty deadly in the tent I hear.

He was deadly. Beat Col in every pub carpark fight after closing time  There's nothing like a bit of brotherly love
