"Wladimir Klitschko camp insider reveals veteran’s shocking training struggles"
DAVID HAYE has been told Wladimir Klitschko’s preparations for his fight against Anthony Joshua are not going well.
And fellow heavyweight Haye has revealed that Klitschko’s condition is nowhere near championship level after 14 months out of action.
"Joshua is the young guy, Klitschko is 41 and in his last fight he looked terrible," Haye told The Sun.
"You’re seeing deterioration.
"People in the Klitschko training camp that I know say he is looking terrible.
"That all augers well for Joshua to blitz him."
Thoughts?

Klitschko is old and has been out of action. He looked bad against Jennings, and terrible against Fury. Can't beat Father Time.

It didn't mean sh*t to me as soon as you said these were David Haye's comments.

It could also be Wlad's mind games.

Wladimir has to get lucky... like George Foreman got lucky versus Michael Moorer.. George certainly didn't look good in his previous 2 Title Fights, which he lost both of them.. And he was getting trashed when he caught a complacent Moorer.. MM didn't even seem to be paying attention.. That was the ONLY KO or knockdown Foreman scored in his last 7 fights ... Eddie Fuch said, "If a guy can punch it doesn't matter if he's 60. You can't go to sleep on him."
Wladimir can punch. That's the only asset he's has left. He's hoping against hope that for a split-second Joshua thinks, "You gotta be kidding. This is too easy."

The Fury fight showed having punching power don't mean sh*t if you don't throw punches. If Wlad shows up planning to win a staring contest again I figure he's outta there inside 3 rounds.

when this fight got announced I called it wouldn't happen
but I have already got my ticket and booked flights and hotel,,
I called it from day one that the fight in Wembley will be Joshua versus haye
hayemaker will knock out bellews very easily, the klit will pull out and the fresh and ready hayemaker will step in
people will complain a small bit but then realise it will be a better fight
boxing wins and ill be there
the klit is a bigger sick note than the old hayemaker under booth

If anyone else said it except Haye, it would be more meaningful.
However, Wlad is age 41 and past his prime. He hasn't looked good in his past two fights, and has been inactive for 15 months.
I don't think he will beat a 27-year-old lion like Joshua at this point.

Don't know if he ever would've.

It'd be the best victory of his career.

IF Wlad was to win in April, most people here would claim Joshua was too green, never faced anyone, or just garbage.

David Haye has just told iFLT TV that Robert Helenius has been battering Wladimir Klitschko in sparring during his training for the Anthony Joshua fight.

How big it is viewed for Wlad legacy wise will ultimately depend on what Joshua goes on to accomplish afterward, but I think it'd be a strong case for Wlad's best victory regardless.

If Joshua retired straight after the fight and never fought again, you'd still consider it Wlad's best win?
Povetkin and Haye, as well as other wins, are worth far more.

Nah not if AJ retired straight away afterward.

Forget it! ... Did Michael Moorer retire after getting knocked out by a slow old man throwing the last KO punch of his life??? Hell NO!!... Moorer proved to be pretty chinny after that, but he fought for another 14 years regardless -- because boxing is fking good money and he'd be nuts not to.

He's probably right, even though Wlad will always remain better as Daffy Duck himself.

The fight isn't until April 29 almost 2 1/2 months away. If this was two or three weeks away from fight time then yeah it might mean something.

Wlad has looked vulnerable since the Jennings fight as many of us pointed out. Then he lost to Fury which was not as big a shock to some of us. For the first time ever I will be cheering for Wlad. I want him to knock out Joshua. I'm not totally sold on AJ yet as he has not exactly beaten any better fighters than Wilder at this point when it comes to title fights. If he can't beat a 41 year old Wladimir his upside would be in serious question. He has everything to lose & if he wins it will have been against a fighter who has not been dominant in several years. His last solid performance was when he destroyed Pulev but it has been downhill since Steward's passing...
