Mitchell Smith is due to face George jupp in a rematch in may. Posters and announcements have been made.

But I saw a post on Facebook from jupps team stating no agreement has been made. Weight rounds and purse so theirs no fight. Jupps team r open to the fight but as It stands the announcement was premature

Happens quite a bit, i figure the promoter (usually the same bloke) is under pressure to come up with positive announcements, and that there is method to it - if a match up is under consideration between both parties and then it gets announced, it may add more pressure to get it over the line and get contracts signed.

Can't stand Smith. Extremely unlikeable character.

Thought he seemed quite humbled and took it on the chin in defeat to Jupp. Very honest in his assessments on his performance and critical of his own attitude.

I'm not sure why O'Hara Davies hasn't realised that Mitchell Smith's career to date is basically his. Just hope whoever beats Davies gives him a shellacking too.

Maybe the defeat has brought him back to down to earth. Anything I'd seen him on before that he came across as a bit of a knob. I rated him though and was surprised he lost to Jupp.

Davies is a solid gold twat as well but he has talent. Would love it if Derry chinned him next week. If not Derry then Josh Taylor with any luck :bag:

Smith did an interview after the Jupp fight with IFL or someone and he was quite candid in accepting he's been all talk and no trousers. He's got talent I think. He took time off and has now come back with Adam Booth, so things I think will get interesting for him if he let's his skills do the talking.

I agree on Davies too. Needs a twatting to bring him back down to earth, ala Smith.

Not a bit surprised. Jupp was put in with smith to lose. Then upset the odds boxing smiths head off for 10 rounds. His reward was
Being given berchelt at a weeks notice, smith has not changed his tune calling Warrington out last week @ feather when he struggles to make s/feather

Over 10s for his last fight, would need to chop one leg off to get down to 9s don't think he would make s/feather again prob why there not willing to inform Jupp's camp to early

He's never looked in shape any time I've watched him fight. Is he still with Adam Booth?

I don't understand why FW does this. It can't help ilhis reputation when he announces fights that, according to one of the fighters, aren't signed. It also doesn't put him in a good negotiation position. Jupp will be able to ask for more money as Warren won't want to renege on what he's announced.
