Wilder is one of the most incompetent, uncoordinated men ever to hold a world title, hence the weak opponents. Who can bring themselves to care?

More drivel from Wilder. Seems happy to stand back and let the others battle it out. Inexcusable. I find him quite entertaining despite his technical flaws but he really has to fight someone worthy of challenging for that green belt next.

I'll catch it on Sunday morning at some point.

The scene is actually still pretty good in Europe with AJ, Wlad, Haye, Tyson Fury (possibly) and you've got Hughie and Parker bubbling under too.
AJ and Wlad should be a proper, big event.

But frustratingly Wilder just does not seem to be want to be part of that gig - just get paid and fight wherever and whoever - rather than setting-up a Vegas fight or coming over here and filling a stadium and having a proper showdown with someone.

Maybe he's playing the long game....tick-over with a defence and wait for AJ and Wlad to do their business....and then make his run?

But I rather suspect Wilder ain't that interested in chancing his arm or is just being run in a way that's risk averse.

I like Wilder. Comes across as a nice bloke.

Up until the Stiverne fight I thought he was terrible. Like a caveman. Then he showed me, in winning the title, that he's an OK boxer with big power. I don't really rate him but I enjoy watching his fights from a 'switch the brain off' point of view

But I'll be watching this bill. I think the Breazeale bout could be reasonably exciting & I am a fan for Jarrett Hurd (I think that's how you spell his name).

It's not the greatest bill in the world but it's on free tv & I'll be home

Washington is Top 20. He's not a Top 10 contender. Wilder has yet to defend against a Top 10 contender. So no Washington isn't really deserving of a title shot, but I'll be rooting for him to take out the cherry picking Wilder.

Just goes to show how much Wilder has devalued the WBC Heavyweight title by fighting such mediocre opposition since winning it.

Washington has fought one top 30 opponent, and he got a lucky draw. Nagy Aguilera gave him hell.

It's more of the same from Deontay...although some will try to make you believe that guys like Molina and Washington are top HWs. Yay for coming from way behind to beat shot old Adamek! Yay for generous draws against Amir Mansour!

I think Chisora and Whtye are better than anyone Wilder's fought. Bryant Jennings also totally clowned his best challenger.

He seemed happy enough to travel , when he went to that gym to bash a retard , who incidently , would'nt be much more than a jnr middle , and Wilder still did'nt ko him

It's too bad that he seems content fighting these types of opponents unless mandated into a tough fight.

Wilder likes to pick the pond dwellers. The guys who are there for a paycheck. Even though Wilder fights poor opposition. His team only gives them about a 5 week training camp too. I can't remember the last time I saw Wilder fight someone who looked in decent shape.

They could offer someone like Robert Helenius a fight, but if Helenius came back asking for a 10 week camp they would go looking for someone else instead.

Wilder is utter cack. Wild looping shots, no defence, wide stance.

The first top level heavyweight he faces will smash him to bits.

Joshua would eat him alive, Wilder would walk onto something early. I'd be surprise if it lasted more than a couple of rounds.

Probably. The worst part is just on resume Wilder is still one of the top fighters in the division.

So much careful matchmaking in boxing and at heavyweight especially.

In fairness to Szpilka, Jennings beat him when he was only 16-0, aged 24, and unusaully light.

Wilder has undoubtedly been very busy, and with several victories over top 15-30 opponents + the Stiverne win he's near the top of the division.

However, I'd say that pretty much every other top HW has faced, or, without being forced into it, is scheduled to face someone who is better than anyone Wilder has been in with. My frustration lies with the fact that after years of horrid opposition, once he got a belt (against his only consensus top 10 opponent in almost 9 years pro) he's just played it safe with people like Washington, Duhaupas, and Molina. He was mandated into the Povetkin fight, and yes, it looked like it was going to happen, but since that fell through and his side have been more in control of the opposition, it's been right back to the crap (shot Arreola, glass chinned Wawrzyk, and now Washington).

Yeah I think people are forgetting that fight fell through twice because povetkin was juicing. Wilder tried stepping up and got messed around he's only fighting Washington as a keep warm fight.

The Povetkin fight fell through once and he fought shot Arreola instead. He was then scheduled to fight awful Wawrzyk, but ended up with Washington after the glass chinned Pole failed a test and they needed a replacement.

Arreola (Fred Kassi's leftovers) is the only opponent who can be excused due to the Povetkin fiasco. Wilder was forced to box Povetkin, and now with no mandatory obligations it's right back to mediocrity; that's not the sign of someone who really wants to fight good opposition.

Hes been very much like post-Fonfara Stevenson.
