. . . Tyson and Hughie Fury, Anthony Joshua, Joe Joyce, Dillon Whyte etc.. . . .but WHY is David Haye considered to be so great and so popular in the U.K.?. . . yes a good Cruiserweight champion but as a heavyweight his biggest wins are against Valuev and Ruiz!. . . . (and a win versus Chisora isn't that significant. I don't see Chisora as anyone but a tough gatekeeper journeyman) . . ..Seriously what is the big deal?

Aside from Fury's win over Klitschko, Valuev and to a lesser extent Ruiz are better than anyone else the rest have fought so far.
He also wrecked a younger, hungrier Chisora who just took Whyte right to the edge.

and STILL Haye is revered in the UK. . . .I do not understand why he is mentioned for every championship possibility. . . .He is a fraud! He will be inactive for decades and yet British fans wet themselves at the thought of his existence. . . .my gawd, his hair will hurt or his toenail as an excuse and then there he is again being mentioned as the greatest of all time just behind God and Superman but ahead of Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali.. . . .His followers are as religious to him as are Donald Trump's in the U.S.. . . . Please God make him go away!

You're clearly not British, cos generally Haye isn't all that popular.
Also, fans dont really like a fighter at one weight then go off him at another, so his career, cruiser and heavy go hand in hand, it's mental to just write a guy off like that.
Haye was a breath of fresh air, on the way up fighting Carl Thompson as an 8th or 9th fight was a live test so early, he learned a lot from that but at least he was getting in with a good fighter not just fighting bums. He progresses and fights the best champ in his back yard, and wins. Then fights the biggest fight to unify. It was commendable cruiser run he had.
At heavy, fighting Barrett as a first fight is a good test and he fought great. People can slate valuev but he was massive and it caused opponents problems. He beat Del Boy like no one else has come close to doing. Del Boy isn't world level but he's a tough fight for most in the division. He smashed up Ruiz. His heavy accomplishments aren't as good as cruiser, but it's not like he's a bum at 1 weight and was a beast at the other. The Wlad fight is a black mark but plenty fighters have a black mark on there record.
He should have stayed retired though

Wouldn't say Haye is popular but he's still a massive name. Either way, you can't discount his win over Del Boy yet name Whyte as a British HW star. Whyte went life and death and arguably lost to a past prime Chisora. Haye fought a much better version and destroyed him.
