"Jessie Vargas: I Want The Bradley Rematch - Unfinished Business!"

Jessie Vargas (27-2, 10 KOs) had an eventful 2016, with first winning the vacant WBO welterweight belt by halting unbeaten Olympian Sadam Ali in nine rounds back in March. Then in November he lost that title to Manny Pacquiao in a pay-per-view main event from the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

"I'm looking forward to another big match and to give my fans another victory. I know in my last fight I came up short but I really want to give my fans a victory and give them a show," Vargas said last Friday at the Plaza Mexico near Los Angeles, where the last stop of the Saul Alvarez-Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. press tour was held.

When asked if there was one particular fight he yearns for, Vargas answered:

"It would be Jessie Vargas versus Tim Bradley, do the rematch. That's the fight that I want. Why? Because we have unfinished business and the fight fans want to see the end result," Vargas said.

Back on June 27th, 2015, Vargas dropped a 12 round decision to 'the Desert Storm' but had him stunned late in the final round. As Vargas was attempting to close the show, referee Pat Russell accidentally stopped the fight a little early after mistaking the ten second warning sound for the final bell - which deprived Vargas of his opportunity to follow up.

Currently, Vargas is taking a couple of courses at the College of Southern Nevada. You could say he got an education of sorts against Pacquiao.

Vargas says - "I learned that Pacquiao is a great fighter and he has great abilities and a unique style and unique strengths and we me coming out of that fight I'm definitely going to absorb some of those techniques that he has and try to do some things I learned from him."

Sure. Maybe this time Vargas could win 2 rounds and Possibly land a big punch in the last 10 seconds of the fight. No thanks.
