Bellew sprung an upset yesterday but that got me thinking about his future personally can't see him fighting at heavyweight I think that extra 13 pounds on him was the reason his output fell in rounds 7-9.

What do you think Bellew would do next ?

take a big heavyweight payday,lose and then retire.

I'd like to see him back at CW vs the Huck/Briedis winner, and if he gets through that a unification with Gassiev or Usyk.

However, regardless of the context of his win, he still got a victory over a well-known HW, and I imagine that because of that he'll be able to land another big HW payday.

Well a big PR bullshit and get a crack at AJ at Wembley in front of 90k would be my first thought. Who has AJ fought that is better than the quality of Bellew oppostion?

CW title defense.... "cash out" against Haye in a rematch, or against one of the belt holders.... then retire

Get his weight down to 205 lbs or so and take the biggest available payday at heavyweight, before moving back down to cruiserweight if he loses.

The extra weight didn't seem to help him much against Haye.

He still has a credit at HW, he can still lose respectively and move back down - depends how long he can hold his WBC belt without it being made vacant

Honestly can't see him defending the CW title again, he'd probably get a couple of hundred grand and it's a division full of beasts, my guess would be a mega bucks fights with AJ, Wilder or Parker, make Bank and retire.

This stay at heavyweight get the big money we wouldn't be surprised if he beat some of these big lumps that are so called champs anyway he took some full blooded shots off Haye so who knows?

I agree with this. Cruiserweight is jammed packed with talent but for whatever reason gets little recognition.

It may not make sense for Bellew financially, but the fight I want to see is Bellew v Huck/Briedis (I believe the Latvian will beat Huck).

Must be pretty nice to be Bellew right now he is ticking most of the boxes for having had a successful boxing career, don't think it matters which way round he does it but he still has a big fight at least in both divisions

I think he should challenge for a HW world title next, bring the Briggs/Oquendo or Parker/Fury winner to Goodison Park in the summer.
More than likely lose. Meanwhile, Haye will be recovering.
Then rematch Haye at the 02..

Briggs is an easy fight on paper, just keep out of range for 3 rounds and then start popping in the one two's. Briggs has no gas tank at all.

If he wants to cash out get wilder over for a fight, he might well get sparked badly but like Bellew said he cares about setting himself up for life and that's decent money fight. A world title fight with the wba regular is another easy ppv sell.
