so on saturday night we had tony bellew v david haye.

this was a fight that had a bad blood build up and both guys clashed everytime they met, david haye promised to knock tony bellew out in 2rds and he was saying this for many weeks as cool a sainsbury's cucumber.

He said tony bellew was not on his level and he made to many mistakes what would cause him to be knocked out early.

Tony bellew said david haye was not the same fighter of old and he would expose him to the fans in there fight.

So the fight begun ding ding round 1 both guys come out david haye sporting the new stance he has seem to gain since his comeback and it looked very odd once again.

When the first punches were thrown tony bellew landed first and straight away you could see hayes timing was off because after he kept missing these shots and bellew had a counter ready also bellew was doing welll in not letting haye find his range.

Haye also seemed to look slower you see to notice these things about inactive fighters when there in acutal fights instead of fighting bill the binman and paul the postman, you tend to notice whats different about them and david haye didnt look like the man who beat john ruiz and audley harrison.

but as the rounds ticked on haye seemed to find his range and was starting to land but his prophecy of knocking bellew out early didnt come to tuition because bellew took the shots pretty well.

Then in round 6 the mighty god of fight injurys struck upon us and david hayes achilles what had been rumoured for days to be hurt went out on him and he started hopping round the ring like he was in watership downs.

And bellew saw that straight away and so did most people and he jumped on haye and started to throw shots and haye could barely move and had to take them causing him to go down in the 6th round.

But he got up to beat the count and he went back to his corner as the bell rang not long after.

He suprisingly came out for round 7 and carried on fight with one leg basically it was acutally sad to watch a once great fighter struggling to move and getting hit against the ropes constantly by bellew but it seemed like bellew used alot of energy in the previous round.

So for the next 4 rounds it was pretty much the same haye tryna survive why bellew threw tired looking shots at him but haye still managed to land a few big shots on bellew but bellew soaked up and kept hunting the wounded gazzelle that was David haye.

and in the 11th round bellew hit him with a barrage of shots and haye fell threw the ropes and as he just got up to make the count his trainer shane mcguigian threw in the towel and it was over.

and bellew celebrated for a few moments before going over to his rival and hugging him and it was nice to see both guys who had been so verbally and physically heated with eachother previously now embracing.

if i wasnt a grown arse man with a beard i might of got abit emotional anyway haye didnt use the injury as a excuse at the end of fight and he said the better man won and he would love a rematch if bellew would oblige because he is now at his mercy in terms of negotiations.

So there you have it a crazy bad blood heated injury prone fight that shown haye not be the fighter he once was and fight where bellew didnt look great as a heavyweight but got the win anyway due to injurys haye had been keeping to himself in the build up to the fight.
