Stop with Haye and Bellew

what is wrong with you guys, cant you see that both dont play a role in elite boxing?

bellew is fat and out of shape and lost every round against haye before the achilles injury. bellew didnt look very good before the injury and even after he couldnt tko a guy with 1 working leg  he needed 5 rounds to finish the show with a guy who detached his achilles

haye has 100000000000000 injurys and should stop boxing right now. people pay money to see him fight, but not for a guy who is always injured. you dont sell a wrecked car to someone else!

bellew now thinking he could beat wilder, because chubby beat up a one legged opponent    i say it like it is.

also haye is delusional, thinking achilles injury is like a small injury and he can continue boxing, like it is nothing. he got out the fury fight because of shoulder injury, he injured his toe against wladimir, he wrecked his achilles against chubby. hayes new nickname should be "injury", instead of hayemaker. he is a millionere, he has his legacy as one of the best boxers ever to come from UK and now its over.

i mean it is just egoistic. at some point you should not only think about yourself but about the puplic who pay lots of money to see them fight. everybody has to be realistic at some point. and i would never act like a tough guy in the streets, when i beat up a guy in a wheel chair  its a dumb comparison, but just imagine an elite boxer like ggg having a detached achilles and wouldnt be able to walk, heck, even saunders would than beat ggg, cause ggg wouldnt be able to move at all and get away from shots.

Are you saying that forum discussions about boxing's "current scene" should be limited exclusively to "elite" level fighters?

Are you also suggesting that Bellew and Haye aren't highly-accomplished fighters where the outcome of their fight didn't have any impact on world-rated "elite-level" heavyweights?

Are you taking the Jip?
Bellew has overachieved and is a world champ, you can't take that with a pinch of salt, he's proved us all wrong.
Fair play to him, he's gave us some entertaining moments and I for one hope he shows us he's a warrior and takes on the Huck/Breidis winner next.
Maybe he ain't elite like Usyk, but who cares?
More talk equals more hype which equals more money in boxing! Which means more boxing!

I've allways said Haye isn't a top contender and I've said like 8 months ago that a good cruiserweight would probably beat David Haye.

I thought it was an entertaining 'scrap'........ not one for the purists but I went through a family bag of chilli Dorito's as quick as a bunny.

Quite enjoyed reading what other people thought about it.

'kin ell's wrong with that?

sure it was entertaining.

i just dont like how everybody is overreacting like bellew would now have a chance against any good heavyweight just because he beat a wheelchair driver :maybe:

bellew beat an injured opponent?

imagine floyd wins the first 6 rounds against canelo, like he did. than he breaks his ankle and can hardley move his feet and canelo wins round after round would you than give canelo respect for winning the fight? hell no. beating a cripple lol

Why stop talking about it?

It was an interesting fight, I wish I could have watched it live in the US.

Bellew is a tough guy with a lot of heart, albeit limited potential. Haye was a very good fighter, who is injury prone, so it was an exciting match-up.

I haven't heard anyone after this fight say either is the future of the HW division.

I wholeheartedly agree with The enlightened one, Vidal and Tony's comments. I've not been on here long enough to know if Tanzio is right or not but I almost fell off my chair laughing at that preposterous horseshit comment. Sir you have a flair for language.

As to the purveyor of preposterous horseshit, if you started to say that about Haye recently then yours is a considered opinion. If, as you claim, you have always said that (which I take to mean for a matter of years) then I make Tanzio absolutely correct in his colourful assessment.

I think he was down 4-1 x3, which looked right to me. Some people were too generous in scoring for him, simply because Haye looked bad.

Bellew hardly did anything until Haye effectively lost his leg.

It's not over for Haye... He'll still be a Heavyweight fighter when he's 40 like the K Bros were.. He's had a lot of bad luck.. Just because you've had a ton of shltty luck doesn't mean your luck won't change in the future. Like the guy who was sued for divorce 6 times and lost everything 6 times. He couldn’t catch a break. His 7th marriage lasted 50 years and produced 7 children. You keep going no matter what.,

Have extensive surgery.. rehab the Achilles.. get back into training.. win some fights.. get a title shot.. and get a title back if you can.. Vitali Klitschko came back at 37 and never lost again.. Foreman was out 10 years and made a comeback when even his kids said, “Man, you’re too old, fat, and lazy to make it in Boxing after waiting this damned long.” ... It pays to have a stubborn streak and a lot of people saying “You ain’t gonna do sheeeet.”

Does Haye really look like a man with a future to you?

Haye gets injured adjusting the climate control on his Ranger Rover Sport, so once he's got over this latest injury & lengthy absence, who knows what other part of his body will break down?

Haye hasn't beaten anyone with a pulse since 2012 & he's been inactive mostly since.

Considering his injury record & his recent activity, what has he done that would make you think he could be some sort of force again?

There's no point in citing the likes of Vitali & George Foreman as they were completely different fighters; much bigger & stronger & with different styles.

Haye's style has always been speed based & his speed has diminished.

He looked heavier & slower against the two waxwork dummies he fought last year & he didn't look quick against Bellew.

Haye doesn't doesn't strike me as someone that can completely change his style to compensate for his diminished skills, the way Foreman did, for example.
