AJ - The Modern Day Ivan Drago

This man has a serious team around him. Every time I see a twit pic he is being pushed to the limit by most probably the best money can buy. Every fibre of him is being tuned to be the best fibre in the HW division. He's even got the personality of Drago. Only thing lacking is the chin.
We need to give him a nickname. I'll suggest a few. First I will bestow upon him a Royal title. He is now know as:
His Royal Humbleness (HRH) ....
..... The Black Express
...... The Black Bull
.......The Humble Bull
.......The Bumble Hull

Think it was HoS who coined the phrase 'let's get ready to humble'

That's surely got to be his nickname

I still chuckle at his debut moniker, 'The future people's champion'.
Oi AJ, you've dropped something. Your self awareness.

Have a look at the start of this video with the girl begging AJ for a kiss. Then around 2:35 when the yampy Arab kid goes full Jamaican. You can hear that girl again. Some fecking weirdos out there.

People really are pathetic in their adoration of public figures. I've never idolised anybody in that way, it's pathetic.

It is odd I've met him a couple of times, he's polite but I don't think he likes all that attention, people are weird, no shame. I think the Arab kid was trolling though

Yes I've never understood that, even as a teenager. It's bizarre. I think it's born out of some reflected glory with some other kind of psychological weakness

Yeah, people feel that just by standing next to greatness they somehow bathe in it and some of it is conferred to them.

Yes it's freaked me out for years and I am suspicious of anyone who works like that.
I actually worked with a girl when I was about 19 who used to 'boast' that her claim to fame was once having met Rolf Harris (this was years before we knew he was a nonce.) I mean really?
In a similar vein I went on a date during a World Cup with a girl who was half Italian, half English. I asked which team she supported. She answers Brazil. Even though she has no links to Brazil nor had ever been there.... when I asked why she said 'because they're the best'. Odd behaviour.

Did you get to find out if she had a Brazilian?

This month's Boxing Monthly has a feature about Lomachenko. He's quoted:"A lot of fighters say they want to fight the best in the world. The difference is I mean it. I will fight only the best. My goal is to be No 1 pound for pound."
Contrast this with Joshua in the current GQ:"when I first started, the aim was to become a multimillionaire. But now there are ordinary people, grandmas and granddads, who are worth millions just because of property prices. So the new school of thought is that I need to be a billionaire."
I NEED to be a billionaire! Fitting that oily car salesman Hearn is AJ's promoter. There's something about the big lump (several, actually) that scream "fake" to me and I found the GQ stuff further confirmation of those doubts.

Wow that is some serious down to earth humble stuff. A lot of respect to AJ
