Laila Ali quit Boxing rather than fight the one woman that was actually a threat to her. She ain't coming back.

Shields has a good chin what I saw of her.

Hard to imagine a female middleweight actually exists that can beat Shields.

Shields is by far the rawest two-time Olympic champ I've seen..I've been a bit underwhelmed by her pro fights given the hype and her amateur background.

Probably not gong to matter much given how shitty the talent pool is around 160. There just aren't many women who can be in fighting shape at the weight (Hammer is an exception), so you get lots of chubby fighters who should be a few divisions lower.

Laila Ali refused to fight Ann Wolfe... Just like her dad avoided Larry Holmes for many years... If she came out of retirement now she'd be older than her dad was when he fought Larry Holmes.. She'd get hammered to death.. I have no doubt that Claressa Shields would beat Laila at her best, but that fight is not happening because Laila isn't hurting for money like her daddy was.

But the girl Shields fought yesterday was the single WORST boxer I've ever seen... She couldn't throw a punch.. she couldn't land a punch.. she couldn't avoid a punch.. She could barely walk without stumbling all over the place.. Shields is going to be hurting for opponents.. Women's Professional Boxing is so bad right now -- the average boxing fan couldn't name a single interesting women's boxing match at "World Level"

Yeah the girl Claressa fought last night was about as uncoordinated as it gets. I've literally sparred with a guy who was training to make his amateur debut who was so much more technically advanced than her it makes her look like a child learning to walk by comparison.

I don't know how Shields makes money fighting these cans. She will need to make the money outside the ring in some fashion.

Haven't seen her fight pro yet - how far away is she from Hammer? Any chance she could get down in weight to meet Braekhus?

Laila wanted no part of Ann Wolfe.... what makes you think she's gonna roll her ass out of bed and fight a young woman with virtually the same style and size as the woman she wanted no part of?
