7 Day Weights: Gennady Golovkin 162, Daniel Jacobs 167.8

This past Friday, WBC, IBF, WBA, IBO middleweight champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin (36-0, 33 KOs) and mandatory challenger Daniel "The Miracle Man" Jacobs (32-1, 29 KO's) took part in the WBC's mandatory 7-day weight check.
According to Golovkin's promoter, Tom Loeffler of K2 Promotions, the unified champion weighed in 162-pounds. For his part, Jacobs weighed in at 167.8-pounds. Both boxers were under the WBC's required 7-day maximum. Golovkin is lighter than he was for his last bout, which took place last September against IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook. For that contest, Golovkin was 162.9-pounds seven days out before his defense, which he won by TKO in five rounds.
For their 30 day weight check, Golovkin weighed in 165.1-pounds, and Jacobs came in at 174.8-pounds.
