They are both Golden Boy, so I can't see the fight happening. The other reason I can't see it happening is because Lemiuex is on the top 10 P4P in power.

Another reason why Canelo would not take a figth against Lemieux : Canelo is a 154 lb; Lemieux is 160 lb.
Lemieux would do to Canelo what he did to Kahn.

There's a big difference between a chinny fighter going up a weight division and Canelo going up a division.

High risk low reward, it might happen but not in the next 2 years since Lemieux is just getting known. Lemieux could be a good preparation fight for Canelo if he accepts to fight GGG. Although Lemieux has as "similar" power as GGG, his fighting is totally different, so maybe not a good preparation match afterall.

Still, it would be an interesting fight to watch, and they are both 5'9" btw.
