for the WBA Super Flyweight Title...

I do enjoy watching Muranaka (his bout with Kogawa was brilliant and his 1-punch ko of Sakashita was a cracker) ...but...issues with weight forced him up and he's not looked good since back-to-back weight failures, and a resulting ban.
He's open but exciting, good stamina, great work rate, but not the quickest and not much of a puncher (despite stoppages against Sakashita and Kuroda.

Given Muranaka's performances of late, Yafai beats him with relative ease.

anyone know the odds on this fight?

Nothing against an easy homecoming defence especially when he beat a world level opponent in his last fight.

I was very critical of Yafais matchmaking coming up but FairPlay on the Concepcion win. It wasn't the best but he got the job done with ease.

That said, this is now a very good division which now has the flyweight belt holders from last year.

I don't want Yafai to be in his own world defending against nobodies here as a prop up for AJ under cards and other PPVs to give them X number of world title fights.

He can get good offers to go abroad with this belt particularly to Japan in the new year. Hopefully he does that.

Who does Kash Ali have to blow to get on one of these Brum cards?

He was down to be fighting Tommy Langford until he was replaced. He may still end up on the undercard. If not then I'd be surprised if he's not added to the Yafai card.

He deserves to be on big Birmingham shows after his last fight

Nah hes not on either saw an interview with him in the week on local channel.

He fought last night in a 4 rounder just to keep busy hastily arranged when the Langford fight fell through.

Gash main event. Eggington is usually good to watch. Not a guy for the purists but always looking to engage. Have a soft spot for Eggington.

Not sure what card I'll watch live on Saturday. Probably go with BT and watch the Sky one the next day or have it on SkyGo in the background.

Depends on how Yafai fights, if he boxes like he did against Concepcion he doesn't come close to the stoppage, if he looks for it, he could get it

Depends on how Yafai fights, if he boxes like he did against Concepcion he doesn't come close to the stoppage, if he looks for it, he could get it

muranaka looks durable enough wasn't sure how well he was gonna travel seeing as he not done it before

Main events poor but some decent fights on the card. I'm going but that's cuz it's up the road if it wasn't local to me (and wanting support local lads especially Eggington) I'd watch the Leeds bill to be honest

I still think Yafai's a bit underated, I think he's a classy fighter, skilled, powerful, quick and experienced, he pretty much has it all, the way he dominated Concepcion to win the title looked effortless and Yafai looked like he still had more gears to go through, IMO he looks one of our champs who can mix it with the best as opposed to being just a belt holder, although he's in a hell of a weight division

Kogawa, Kuroda and Hisataka have all fought at world level before Muranaka beat them

Not exactly up to speed with my Japanese Boxing (CASUAL!) but was having a look at Muranaka's record, not only has he not fought outside of Japan, but never outside of Korakuen Hall.

28 Fights, every single one of them at the same venue must be getting up for some sort of record.

The big question in Japan is Muranaka's weight, he's said England has been great and his second/translator Kei Nidaira looks to have been having a good time over here. Positive talk about the UK
